Contreras works out of it. I hope he's done for the day, he's had a very solid outing.

And that's a quality start.

You want to replace Crede with someone that's even slower?  I'd rather just play Ozuna at 3B.

So it does not matter that he had 35 HRs last year, 21 of them outside Coors....all that matters is speed now? :nono

We should cut Frank and Kong and Pierz too then?

who's gonna throw next, Cotts?

My guess would be Hermanson since he has yet to throw this season with his suspension.

Great start by Jose

JOSE JOSE JOSE JOSE ....JOSE.... JOSE

I hope they play that at the park for him

Convince me he is not better than Crede and I will back off.  :bang

Or convince me there is someone out there at 3B we can get better than Vinny (be reasonable now). If Randa continues to play well, I have no probs, but I do not see that happening.

And 3M per year for 2 years is not that bad. Again, we can always make the Nationals pick up some of that salary by giving them a mid tier prospect.

Was it his .218 ave or .281 obp last year away from Coors that makes you think that?

He might be better, but he is not $6 million better than Joe away from Coors Field.

Contreras

1.50 ERA

6 IP

4 H

1 ER

2 BB

4 SO

0 HR

96 Pitches (62 strikes)

Nice friggin' start, Count!

I thought his contract was 3M a year ....and it is not your money is it?

And what were Randa's s the last few years?

Hell yeah, so far only Freddie has looked shaky.

Crede flies out on first pitch

:P

Considering the # of division games we play early, I hope this pitchign stays hot for a while

Hell yeah, so far only Freddie has looked shaky.

And 2 earned runs in 6 innings ain't bad either, especially when 1 of the runs is because of a balk.

if thats shaky then we're in for a kickass year! (knock on wood)

Cotts is in?

Who cares about home runs we will hit over two hundred as it stands right now. Look at castilla's three year splits along with cruddy's. Only difference is he hit 17 more home runs four huindred or so more at-bats

Its a two year deal at $3 million a year. It might not be my money, but it might mean someone else either would not have gotten signed, or someone else might have gotten traded, as we added $10 million in payroll this year.

I have no idea about Randa, I was talking about Vinny.

BREEEEEP

Garcia didn't look all that good yesterday but he still kept the Sox in it...he pitched well enough. He also looked stronger the further he went into the game.

We would have to dump Ben Davis to take on $3 million in salary anyways. Ain't gonna happen.

Good to see the Sox winning so far.

Castilla is not five million dollars betetr than cruddy over a two year time span. No f***ing way in hell.

Is that what's going on? I thought this was the Crede contract thread!

Hawk and DJ talking about Peralta's first name. Just called him Ja-honny. :D

Yeah, I thought that was interesting as well. Contreras couldn't throw another 20 pitches? And didn't Cotts pitch yesterday?
