April 10, 200521 yr good job by the good guys today... Yes Garland gave up that big 3 run HR but he still had a quality start and really pitched out of a big jam into the 6th to get it. Also nice job by the offense in scoring some runs for Garland too, That Podsenick sequence was awesome.
April 10, 200521 yr Hopefully we get the sweep tommorow. I want Buehrle to flat out dominate and for Johann to give up 30 runs.
April 10, 200521 yr Garland really pitched well tonight. He was forcing ground balls left and right, and many of the hits he gave up were weak sauce. He really threw the ball well. Even the HR he gave up...the 2 pitches before that were excellent and Stewart just fought em off. Good job Jon, especially forcing the DP. 5 games, 5 good starts. Gotta love it.

April 10, 200521 yr I know it's early, and with the exception of the Shingo blowup, which is NOT going to happen that often, the pitching has been outstanding. Way to go, fellas!
April 10, 200521 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) Solid win for the good guys and MB going tomorrow. GET OUT THE BROOMS!!!!! Sweet. While a sweep would be great, it's not a necessity. No pressure. If the we can go 2/3, 2/4, 3/4 in series all season, we're set. Winning two out of three against an underrated Indians team was important, but winning at least two out of three against the three-time defending AL Central champs is huge. Talk about a confidence builder. Edited April 10, 200521 yr by TheBigHurt35

April 10, 200521 yr QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) Sweet. I think you mean an overated Indians team but still i agree 2 series victories to start off the season is very nice. Also we have good pitching matchups against the Tribe.... Cliff Lee, Elearton, and Jason Davis.
April 10, 200521 yr And the last two nights have been in front of 90,297 Twins fans, all the more impressive. Carl - 4/8, 5 RBI, 2 2Bs, 1 HR big time contributions from "role" guys, Willie and Timo Pods - getting on base, creating havoc, Ozzieball to perfection Pitching - brilliant Friday night, certainly effective and solid tonight Defense - 0 errors in 2 games in that excuse for an Arena Football Stadium Our ace on the hill for the sweep tomorrow night Basically, a lot of reasons to be happy.
