May 1, 200520 yr When I get to a game. Uhh no, but I think we'll get there soon enough, if the players keep up the good work on the field. A crowd over 30,000 against Detroit was pretty good I thought even though it was on a Saturday Night.
May 1, 200520 yr >Welcome to Soxtalk... But a word of advice. Attendance threads will make you not very well liked real quick.
May 1, 200520 yr Bad start, but welcome aboard. We really need a specific thread for all the attendence mumbo jumbo.
May 1, 200520 yr We need a Welcome Wagon like other boards have so n00bs can learn about this, green text, sigs, contests, etc.

May 1, 200520 yr we'll sell out when all those fair weather cubs fans jump ship! so we sell out if we make the playoffs and the cubs don't. Edited May 1, 200520 yr by backman
May 1, 200520 yr I've been on these boards for 2 years and I didn't realize how over-sensitive we are when it comes to attendance. Its like someone mentions it and everyone has to duck and hide. Its not a stupid thread, its a legit question...but as history shows we will sell out a few big games on warm nights, and the cub games. s***, drawing flies is what happens when you have a less than stellar owner and a team that hasn't exactly had a history of bringing home pennants. Luckily, sports is cyclical. The cubs drew fewer than 1,000 when that neighborhood was s***ty and the team sucked ass. The yankees drew fewer than 20,000 a game in the late 80's, Despite having over 20 world series trophies and the largest market in North America. Now Wrigley and the Stadium are packed every game. If we ever win consistently we will have consistent crowds. Until then we might as well talk about our s***ty attendance because its conversation. Edited May 1, 200520 yr by 1549
May 1, 200520 yr Already have one. Cubs series will be. Yankees/Red Sox will be close Any meaningful games in September will be
May 1, 200520 yr QUOTE(cubbiesssuck2005 @ May 1, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) ???? ???? QUOTE(cubbiesssuck2005 @ May 1, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) Why do 37,000 + go to all there games? The white sox are the best team in basebal and no one goes the there games? Why is that? I smell something funny. Welcome cubbiessuck2005, for now.
