WHarris1
Just broke on AM 1000. 2 more years he is signed for. Not released by the Sox but his sources tell him it's done.
aboz56
As well as we are playing, I really don't see a need for 2 more years....yet.
TLAK
Levine just reported that the White Sox have picked up Ozzie Guillen's option year, 2006, and extended his contract 2 additional years.
Jabroni
Bruce, when is that Willie Harris for Wes Helms trade going through?
Steve Bartman's my idol
He also mentioned that the Cubs and another Minor League team (National League)are working on a deal, he will mention the names being mentioned as well as the team tomorrow. He did say that they would get a power hitter in return. One name mentioned was Corey Patterson.
Chisoxfn
Ya Levine was acting as if the Cubs were on the brink of making a pretty good size trade. There is a post over in ATH in regards to the Cubs move. Interesting on the Ozzie front. The way I see it there was no reason to do it this soon, but I don't have a problem with it I guess. Ozzie has done a good job this year. I 've questioned some of his decisions but he keeps the team lose and you can't argue with the record. Rowand44
Ozzie's handling of the bullpen definitely rubs me the wrong way at times but I love his managing style and I love his attitude, I'm happy we're keeping him around.
Steve Bartman's my idol
I hope the Cubs get jobbed if they do make a deal. He also mentioned that the player named Carruthers, who the Cubs got in the Sosa deal quit baseball. So the trade amounts to Sosa for Hairston and Fontenot. He mentioned that Baltimore will give the Cubs another player, why I don't know. A deal is a deal, its not like they didn't scout this player. What does ATH stand for so I could check out the names mentioned, I don't mean to sound ignorant.

Buehrle>Wood
I love Ozzie and think he's in it for the long run.... BUT this was way to soon.

BUT this was way to soon. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't have a problem with it but it's the Reinsdorf way. He probably saved some money on his car insurance resigning Ozzie this early. Reddy
eh this works for me. as long as he's got a good core to work with i think he's a fine manager - and i like his no bulls*** style. nice job.
BuehrleTheAce
If they do ship Corey out of town I hope to God he goes to a hitters park since I have him on my fantasy team Btw I like the subtle reference "another MINOR league team" in post #5. Very nice

Jabroni
"Guillen denies report he's agreed to extension" http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...ack=2&cset=true ANAHEIM -- White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen shot down a radio report Monday night that he had agreed to a two-year contract extension. "It's not fair to talk about it to [general manager] Kenny Williams and [sox Chairman] Jerry Reinsdorf while we're winning," Guillen said after a 4-0 loss to the Angels. The Sox hold an option for 2006 on Guillen, who said negotiations have yet to take place. Guillen added he is happy with the Sox and believes the focus should remain on ways to improve the team. Williams also declined to deny or confirm the report. "I'm not going to comment on any of that stuff," Williams said from Arizona, where he was preparing for his son Tyler's 8th-grade graduation. "The rumor mill in Chicago has gotten to the point where it's tough to do business." Guillen has led the Sox to a 31-14 record, the second-best start in franchise history.
