Prior just went down on a line drive

Featured Replies

I don't like Cub fans, and that's the end of it in my book.  I don't go out of my way to see what happened with them the last night.  I just ignore them.  I don't understand a lot of Sox fans obsession with what happens on the NorthSide.  I just find it pathetic when the Sox lose, and a Sox fan, can claim it to be okay because the Cubs lost.

It's just an unhealthy obsession.  You might as well make them your 2nd favorite team with all the energy you expel on them.

So posting news about Prior getting injured means that I don't worry about a Sox loss as long as the Cubs lose as well? Thanks for knowing the way I feel after a Sox loss.

I understand this is news, and we can post about it.  I just find it sad that people are taking joy in Prior going down, because he plays for the Cubs.

Ohhh.. I thought you meant it was pathetic that anyone of us (me  ) were posting about it..

Tell me where I said Jabroni thinks like that.

As secretive as the Cubs are about their injuries, I really doubt they would inform Levine of this before he is even X-rayed. I didn't see it, and he may have broken his elbow, but I doubt Levine has reported it yet.

Thats what I was thinking. Like I said, take it for what its worth.

If it was Wood or Maddux, I would feel a little different about the situation. Those guys I actually have respect for off the field. However, Prior and Zambrano don't exactly get well wishes for me. I don't mean injuries when I say that. More like I wish Prior and Zambrano nothing but failure on the field.

NOT AT ALL :banghead

BTW I cant find the link to the vid anywhere on MLB.com u sure its on there?

I totally think it can and should be discussed on here...but the problem is like 5 threads pop up, most of which celebrate the injury.

Okay, so maybe you didn't say that I personally feel that way but you did assume that some Sox fans do. Just because I post news about the Cubs doesn't mean I or anyone else who does feels this way.

So did anyone actually hear the report on ESPN1000?

If it's broken.. it might be obvious to see depending on the break. FWIW.. several people are saying Bruce is reporting this.

A question for everyone giving some of us a hard time about not exactly being upset that Prior got hurt........would you still feel the same way if Johan Santana got hurt?

To me it doesn' t matter. I hate to see injuries like this at all.

He said MLBTV... is that different from MLB.Com??

I have a feeling jabroni and I think the same way on this. In order, our favorite teams are the Sox, the Twins opponent, and then the Cubs opponent. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong jabroni.

Good question.

Yeah you have to pay for MLBTV...oh well

Levine said nothing of consequence on espnews so I'm not sure if he would have indicated more ont he radio unless he felt it was easier to guess on that medium. He refused to speculate on a break.

No report on air. They would not allow that without absolute confirmation... :nono

I never said it's you. I just think it's a lot of White Sox fans in general. I was browsing WSI the other day. There was a thread talking about Sox fans boycotting the show '24', because there's an actor on there that's a Cubs fan. I just find examples like that pathetic.

I looked and couldn't find it either... I would appreciate a link if someone does find it.

Sox, Twins opponent, and the Cardinals because their lineup is impressive. If the Sox lose, a Cubs loss doesn't make me feel any better.

FWIW, all I've read is that Levine said it hit him squarely on the elbow.

buehrle>prior>wood ^_^

Why not? Most of the stuff Levine reports anymore isn't true anyway.

I felt that way before both of their arms exploded.

Bingo...

1.) Willie Harris for Wes Helms trade.

2.) And now the big trade that the Cubs were supposed to make this week for a "significant bat."
