June 7, 200520 yr Thats it, I find it highly unlikely that Teagarden will sign. He'll get picked by someone, but odds are he'll be back at the collegiate level another year (unless someone steps up with supplemental round money).
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) FUUUUUUUUUUUCK There goes Robinson There's nothing to get upset about.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 06:59 PM) There's nothing to get upset about. Sounds like a Donny Lucy type, good defense, questionable (projecting) bat. BTW -- f*** not taking Suzuki last year.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) There's nothing to get upset about. I'm upset cuz I wanted him, no?
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) WHITE SOX SELECT Richard Brooks ACK! WTF? That guy would have been there in 2 rounds in all likelihood... Edited June 7, 200520 yr by Randar68
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) Mullins...thats a kid I really like. yeah imo hes a steal in the third round, he outpitched sowers last year, and coming into this year he was talked about in teh same light as hochever. hes a perfect fit for the sox and had he not gotten the DUI (blew a .09, legal limit .08) he woulda kept on schedule and been a potential first rounder. he tailed off at the end of the year some but we'll see. im hoping that the sox will take him
June 7, 200520 yr The Sox had drafted him in 2003. I'm trying to think, I may of done his writeup, the name was really familiar and he may of been the guy that I remember reading about who had really good stuff but was pretty much not gonna sign (was pretty raw). Let me look around.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Thoughts on Brooks...? I'm not seeing him in the BA Top 200... Ouch, considering we're not even to pick 100...
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Thoughts on Brooks...? I'm not seeing him in the BA Top 200... Sounds like a "Stretch"
June 7, 200520 yr My brother just read his statline to me -- 77 IP, 70 K's, 20 BB's, 8 HR's. Doesn't sound real appealing...
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Ouch, considering we're not even to pick 100... http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/2005..._ncarolina.html Unreal. guy is a college senior and they don't have a 2nd rounder this year and blow their cheese on a kid who would have been there in the 5th freakin round! Dumbasses. Cubs have already come to terms with Pawalek. Edited June 7, 200520 yr by Randar68
June 7, 200520 yr He was taken a round ahead of Donald Veal. 322 Richard Brooks RHP North Tonawanda (N.Y.) HS That was where he was selected in 2003. Teagarden is off the board now.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) Sounds like a "Stretch" Speaking of "stretch" -- he's 6'2" and 165 lb. Now that's some kind of thin.
June 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/2005..._ncarolina.html Unreal. guy is a college senior and they don't have a 2nd rounder this year and blow their cheese on a kid who would have been there in the 5th freakin round! Dumbasses. Cubs have already come to terms with Pawalek. He can't be a senior since he was drafted in 03 out of high school. I'm confused here.
