June 8, 200520 yr Question for Steff/whoever: Does Ross have clubhouse issues? Is that why they aren't giving him more play time? Just wondering if there were some Willie-esque reasons for him staying in Charlotte.....

June 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) Shoulders are pretty fragile. I injured mine in my sleep! I had my arm bent under my pillow in a wierd position and when I woke up and wnet to move, it popped out and hurt like hell. It had been injured before and has been injured again since. Once it's injured, it's f***ed. Good luck Ross. Pretty much the same for me. I dislocated it and torn the muscle holding the joint together (labrum) last summer playing baseball. Since then it has dislocated two other times and I always tweak it. I guess I'll have to have surgery on it, but then it will still probably happen again.

Yep, you just learn to live with it unfortunately. I see no point in fixing it now, I'll probably f*** it up again anyway. Once I get older and am not as active, I'll go under the knife and get it fixed. What exactly is Gload's injury?
June 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) After the season last year, the sox leaked that Timo played all season with hamstring issue... Regardless of whether you buy that bulls***, it tells you all you need to know about what the Sox organization thinks of Timo and Ross... Timo is allowed to be on the roster and play the OF while hurt. And when he's healthy they even let him play out of position. Ross isn't allowed anywhere near the roster, let alone the OF (where I think most of us want to keep him away from anyway) while he's injured. Sound like last year with Kelly Wunch.

Also, all we've been hearing is what a headache it's going to be to get Frank AB's during the interleague road trip, and how hard it's going to be to get Carl and Frank enough AB's throughout the year. So last night, when it was time to pinch hit for Garcia, who got the call??? Frank? No. Carl? No. It was Timo of course!!! I just don't get it. We already have enough outfielders. We need a backup 1B. Ross is a better hitter than Timo and is a great defensive 1B. He's been tearing the cover off the ball in AAA. How often is he going to have to make any hard throws playing primarily as a pinch hitter and a backup 1B?

You can play with a hamstring that's ouchy. If a firstbaseman can't throw, he can't play.
