June 9, 200520 yr Has the Sox trading Everett to one of three teams Nationals,Marlins or Orioles.. Would love to get Mota from FLA
June 9, 200520 yr Kenny just said he isn't trying to trade Everett. Basically unless someone offers us something stupid for him, he is staying here.
June 9, 200520 yr everett is possibly even heating up. the only team with 40 wins, we dont need major changes
June 9, 200520 yr Kenny just said he isn't trying to trade Everett. Basically unless someone offers us something stupid for him, he is staying here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And you believe him? Saying he won't trade Everett is one way to get teams to offer more for him. Frank has 2 pinch-hit homers already and needs to be our DH everyday. That would leave little playing time for Everett. Although, it's nice to have Everett as insurance in case we have an injury.

June 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) I didn't see *most* of the game last night, did Thomas really go yard? A bomb to straight away center field.

And Carl Everett is on pace for 110 RBIs, while Frank could get hurt again at any second. Yes I really believe Kenny when he saids Carl isn't going anywhere, he needs Everett just in case.

Exactly, not to mention your left handed pitch hitter off the bench would be: Timo

June 9, 200520 yr By KW saying he's not trading Everett and the fact that he's getting on a hot streak, we will probably swing a trade for Mota, a lesser prospect, and Cabrera, I'm guessing.

June 9, 200520 yr I didn't see *most* of the game last night, did Thomas really go yard? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, Frank absolutely crushed the ball. A 440 foot straight-away shot over the rocks in CF at Coors. They have a replay of the homerun at WhiteSox.com. Click on the #2 news section and it's labeled "Thomas goes deep:". Yes I really believe Kenny when he saids Carl isn't going anywhere, he needs Everett just in case. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I bet Carl gets dealt for a reliever or 3rd baseman at or before the deadline.

Yeah right, we don't have any room for Cabrera. Plus, he wouldn't fit in in our clubhouse.

Yes, this makes perfect sense, but the CBS article is pure speculation. There's no reason to disbelieve Kenny and believe CBS or vice-versa. The article calls Everett an "often tempermental veteran." As far as I know, Carl does not have a bad temper.

He hasn't been AS tempermental with the Sox as he was in Boston/Houston/NYM.

As far as I know, Carl does not have a bad temper. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was all in the past yet most of the sports media still bring it up. As far as we know, Carl has done no wrong in the Sox clubhouse. They also loved him in Texas in 2003. The bad temperment stuff is from his days with the Red Sox and Astros. June 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) He hasn't been AS tempermental with the Sox as he was in Boston/Houston/NYM. That's what I figured. I've seen Carl get lit up when he was hit by a pitch in Oakland, but that's a good thing. As far as the clubhouse and off the field, he's highly respected by the Sox players. CBS' claims lack credibility.
June 9, 200520 yr Thanks knight and Jab for the links... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That ball was nutted, wasn't it? And for you lazy people... http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/transactions/trades
