June 10, 200520 yr Rick is leaving the Score (thank god). Wants to spend more time with his family and concentrate on his article in the sun-times. Now what does the score do? Mabey move Boers and Bernstein to afternoons 2-6? Edited June 10, 200520 yr by soxman352000
June 10, 200520 yr I like Telander's written work, but his radio show was very shaky. For one he wasn't there enough to establish a rhythm. I hope Hood or Holmes get a shot, I like both of them.
June 10, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 04:55 AM) I hope Hood or Holmes get a shot, I like both of them. Love to see Holmes get a regular show mabey even one wiith J-Hood
June 10, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 10:59 PM) After they jerked around JHood and gave Telander his show...? I dunno... True, I forgot about that. It seems like Hood hasn't really been on the good side of management at WSCR, it seems like when there's been some openings they don't give him a shot. I like Steve Rosenbloom (sp?) a lot, but I don't know if the Score is going to attempt to go with another columnist as a lead guy.

Too bad the Score f***ed up with JHood. It's seems that there could be underlying reasons for not promoting JHood and Lawrence Holmes...

June 10, 200520 yr I love both Rosenbloom and Laurence Holmes. You can't go wrong with either one. One thing is for certain, though. Mully has to go as well. He's just not cut out for anything besides football talk. Edited June 10, 200520 yr by hammerhead johnson
June 10, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) JHood and Lawrence Holmes 2 to 6 would be f***ing awesome. Quality radio. I would listen to that in a heartbeat. I loved the Jhood show when it was on and I also like holmes sunday night show both of them in one show would be awesome!
June 10, 200520 yr Telander is by far, my favorite sports author. I'm surprised he committed to radio. I always viewed him as more of an in-depth, feature guy vs. a little bit of everything for a radio show guy.
June 10, 200520 yr I would like to see JHood back on the evening slot and move Mike Murphy to the afternoon show with Buffone. But, whoever said before was right, Mulligan has to go back to being a fill in guy.
June 10, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) JHood and Lawrence Holmes 2 to 6 would be f***ing awesome. Quality radio. I would hope for no less.
June 10, 200520 yr I was very glad to hear that Telander is off the air. I have said since his show came on the air that he is horrible. His show had absolutely no chemistry. He also blatantly rooted for the Cubs as most columnists do because they feel the story is better with Wrigley, the curse, the neighborhood than the Southside. I really thought Telander was unlistenable. I don't like MJH much either. McNeil is always grinding an axe against the Score. Jurko fakes his way through sports talk, but he really doesn't say anything of substance. Harry is such a kiss ass his credibility is that of Ron Santo giving insight on any topic.
