f***ing Rogers asking him attendance questions. WTF

They're asking him who on the Sox is doctoring the ball.

Buehrle says there may be a pitcher on the Cubs using a spit ball.

Greg Maddux?

Great interview. A few highlights:

*Mark's favorite cheese is pepper jack

*When it comes to burgers, he's strictly a ketchup man. No mustard under any circumstances (he had that Clint Eastwood tone goin'),

*His favorite video game is Tiger Woods Golf

*He reads both the Tribune and the Sun Times...he doesn't prefer one over the other.

*He's a die-hard Cardinals fan for life, and he wouldn't mind playing there in the twilight years of his career

*His neighbor stalks him...he called the score and asked if he could come over and shake his hand

*He said that a s***load of guys put spit on the ball. When asked to snitch on a specific player, Mark refused to do so, although he said that someone is guilty on the north side

*He believes that the Sox should let people into the upper deck for free during the weekdays, as the Sox would still make a good deal of money on parking and concessions.

Greg Maddux?

I refuse to believe it.

Ughhh. Why does he keep saying this s***?

:bang He better rather play here. How long is his contract here?

I'm not worried. he said he'd like to play for the Cards half-jokingly right before signing that extension, so at least it's not the Twins.

Till 2007 I believe.

Buehrle has a 3-year contract worth $18 million...

2004: $3.5 million

2005: $6.0 million

2006: $7.75 million

2007: $9.5 million option; $1 million buyout

Lock him up to a 15 year deal dangit.

If I were playing on some other team, I know for a fact that I'd still be a diehard Sox fan and at one point or another I'd love to get a shot to play with my childhood team.

I'm guessing Buehrle is the type of Card fan that we are Sox fans..ie Diehard.

Buehrle is awesome though.

I think Glendon Rusch. Just my opinion.

Is that a team option? Considering that the price of a quality starting pitcher in the FA Market has already topped about $10 million thanks to the Yankees last year, I'd say that in 2007 MB for $9.5 million might seem like a bargain still. Might even give us leverage to negotiate another 3 year deal.

I think the current contract covered his final year or two of arbitration. When it runs out he will be a full fledged FA and command full market. One thing about Mark, he will do what he thinks is best no matter what anyone else thinks or says about him.

I just heard on pretty good authority that when Reinsdorf was told that MB said this, he gave KW strict orders to deal MB at any cost.

I've heard nothing but good things about MB.

He said he hopes to pitch lights out the remainder of this and next year and get a huge deal from the SOX the year before the final year. He said he is a die hard Cardinal and WHEN THE SOX, THE SOX, THE SOX THE SOX give up on HIM HIM HIM HIM then he would like to pitch for the Cardinals.
