1-2-3 in the first inning, 7 pitches, 0 balls for Garland. Sox coming to bat.

Man, both this place and the chat room are dead today

Eeeeeeeasy 1-2-3 inning for Garland.

Groundball out, groundball out, groundball out.

Leadoff single for Pods.

The crowd at the Cell is chanting "Go, Go" for Pods...can hear it over the crowd mike.

Pods picked off at 1st base.

God, how many times has Pods been picked off this year? And Iguchi promptly grounds out.

pods was trying to get a little greedy there

Didn't take that fat f***er long to screw us in this game. Pods was clearly safe at first on the replay.

By my count, it's at least 8 times Pods has been picked off.

Or maybe 10, if Jabroni is correct.

I can't see now, but does it look to anyone else like Konerko has closed up his stance a bit? His legs were in a straight line with the camera last night, while he was more open when he was slumping earlier this year.

Konerko strikes out on a sinking fastball

Yeah, this'd be a good game to have a backup 1B. Konerko is Greinke's b****, and he just showed it again.

Indians losing 3-0 to the Red Sox in the 4th inning.

But they're going to the World Series still, right?

no doubt in my mind

I just hope we rock Greinke because I don't want to sit through 9 innings of Hawk saying that he's the next Maddux. :lolhitting

Ok...taking bets...will Garland throw a ball this inning?

There it is...first one this game.

Stairs pops up to 2b

I know Konerko is doing a concerted effort to hit the ball to right field and not pull the ball, but he let a perfect pitch in his wheelhouse go by on the second pitch of the sequence. After that Grienke punkd him out.

The ump is calling the outside corner for strikes. Garland should be hitting that all night long.
