June 23, 200520 yr Wow. Are you guys watching this? He gave up a 2-run double to Doug Davis, the Brewers' horrible hitting pitcher and then he serves up a 3-run bomb to Carlos Lee. 8 earned runs in 1.2 IP and he's yanked.
June 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 06:49 PM) Wow. Are you guys watching this? He gave up a 2-run double to Doug Davis, the Brewers' horrible hitting pitcher and then he serves up a 3-run bomb to Carlos Lee. 8 earned runs in 1.2 IP and he's yanked. Zambrano appeared to deflect a Carlos Lee line drive off his hand earlier in the inning. I'd have to believe his hand was effected. Good to see this demoralizing effort right before our series.
June 23, 200520 yr Author Zambrano appeared to deflect a Carlos Lee line drive off his hand earlier in the inning. I'd have to believe his hand was effected. Good to see this demoralizing effort right before our series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think so. It didn't look like it hit him that hard.
June 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) I don't think so. It didn't look like it hit him that hard. You watch the replay? Lee smoked the ball. Obviously it wasn't hit hard enough to warrant his removal, but it still may have bruised his hand.
June 23, 200520 yr I am going between that and a special on A&E. I was shocked to flip back to find it was still the 2nd and the score was now 8-0.
June 23, 200520 yr The sun rises, Carlos Lee kills the Cubs, the sun sets. Same thing all season. And wow, that was just so enjoyable to watch, maybe the damn yuppies up there will shut up, but I doubt it since it's not like they are watching the game anyways.
June 23, 200520 yr Author 1.2 IP is Zambrano's shortest outing of his career, and against the crappy Brewers no less. I would say that I hope they burn out their bullpen today and tomorrow but their bullpen sucks ass.
June 23, 200520 yr Corey Patterson hitting leadoff again may be the best news of the night actually, as great as Zambrano's meltdown was..... Automatic out in the 1 slot for the "Cubbies" is a good thing to see. Edited June 23, 200520 yr by whitesoxfan101

Automatic out in the 1 slot for the "Cubbies" is a good thing to see. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, Patterson is leading off because he called Busty and told him he wanted to try it again. And Busty stupidly lets him lead off even though Hairston's OBP is far better. I don't think Busty even knows what OBP is. :headshake And of course KKKorey K's. Edited June 23, 200520 yr by Jabroni

Neifi has hit for average, but he never walks, so he could hit .330 and his OBP still isn't the quality of a 2 hitter.
June 23, 200520 yr Author Exactly. Neifi has hit for average, but he never walks, so he could hit .330 and his OBP still isn't the quality of a 2 hitter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention the fact that Neifi's hot streak is long over. His AVG is just dropping and dropping.
June 23, 200520 yr the cubs got sheets tommorow too, hopefully he shuts them down and the cubs come in absolutely dejected on friday. Edited June 23, 200520 yr by Soxnbears01
June 23, 200520 yr Author What happened that caused him to melt down? Someone wave to him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A bloop single by Weeks that scored a run and then a 2-run double by the no-hitting pitcher, Doug Davis. Davis has a career .051 AVG.
June 23, 200520 yr I was watching on the Brewers feed, they said the pitcher for the Brew Crew was like 0 for his last 40 or something and those were his first 2 RBI's in his career.

He is one of the worst hitting pitchers in the N.L., possibly THE worst. Edited June 23, 200520 yr by Jabroni
