"Haha club went further than the ball!"

The bullpen needs to bring some serious s*** here. We can't let this one get away.

How will the curse of Oakland strike tonight? This definitely won't be easy.

Let's go Cliff - do what you've done all year.

1-2-3

Come on Cliffy, lets hold em here.

I hate how Timo catches the damn ball but whatever.

I thought Timo was gonna miss that.. Maybe bring Neal in soon. lets go cliff

Curses are no excuse for poor play.

So far, so good. Way to be, Cliff.

Nice play AJ.

Way to f***ing work Cliff, that was just dominant.

5 pitches--I'd ride the hot hand and leave him in, but whatever.

NICE INNING CLIFFY!!!!!

ATTA WAY TO SHOW EM WHY YOU'RE THE NUMBER 1 RELIEVER IN THE BIGS!!!!

perfect 1-2-3 CLIFF>.. Lets add a run for Dustin

After seeing Politte blow through those three batters, I want to see him go out there for the 9th.

Sensational inning for Cliff there. Lets get some insurance runs here, because Chavez, etc. vs Hermanson scares me.

Cliff for ALL STAR!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

He's far and away better than Timlin, but that's not gonna stop Francona.

Nuke, I know. It just seems like everything that can go wrong, does go wrong in Oakland. I'm all for Politte staying in next inning, but I bet it will be Hermanson. Personally, I think our best bet would be with Cotts next inning, but that's just me.

I agree. I'd let Cliff finish this one, with Dustin ready in the pen.

alright how bout some insurance

I have a bad feeling about Hermanson coming in... Leave Cliff or bring Cotts,

Hermey will be fine. He had his little rough patch before but he's been solid lately plus he's had plenty of rest lately.

No of course it is not a curse. As Ozzie said months ago when asked if the Sox had a curse like the Cubs: He said they didn't need any curse excuses because they just had horses*** teams a lot of years. You tell it, Oz.

However, that does not mean I dismiss Oakland without concern. Curse or no curse, we haven't won in Oakland for far too long for it to be random chance. Whatever it is, there is a cause for our dismal trips there, and I will hate the idea of them playing there until they do whatever it is they need to do to start winning there.

Damn, I thought Paulie was going to beat that out.

Hermanson is warming up. For some reason, this game reminds me of that Padres Saturday night game on WGN that he blew earlier this year. Hopefully, I'm completely wrong.
