Well boz obviously my scouting report means nothing but his stuff was good today.  I was watching the game on mlb.tv and he had a fastball moving all over the place, a nasty splitty and a good late breaking curveball.

So if today was a good day for Schmidt... what's a bad day's line look like? :o

If the price was right....I can say that I think the price minimum would be two of the following three: B-Mac, Sweeney, Anderson.

If that is the case, no.

I'd also like to see him at least throw a few gems and get his heat back up to a respectable level before we would even consider this.

The last I heard, SF said they were going to exercise his option for next year for 10.5 mil.

It was a bad game obviously because he was falling behind every hitter, I said his stuff was good.

Lets get the hell out of Oakland and get home D-Rays are waiting

If the package includes two of those three I'm with you completely, no thanks.

Schmidt broke down at the end of last year. I see no point in trading away our top prospects for a pitcher that hasn't proved jack s*** this season.

I can't see the Giants trading him without getting 2 of the 3, if not 2 of those guys, and someone like Gio.

Contreras always has good stuff and quite frequently, he sucks.

While its a good indicator of how good someone will perform, I'll take great command and mixing speeds over pure stuff anyday.

Schmidt, when healthy, is one of the 5 best pitchers in the game. This is when he is clicking on all cylinders.

Just look at his game log over this season, he hasn't really put a solid streak of good performances together like he did the past 2 seasons. Personally, I think the guy is pitching hurt.

I agree 100 percent. I was just commenting on his stuff because that might be an indicator that he's getting healthy. As you said a healthy Jason Schmidt is an absolute stud.

One thing that our big hitters (Thomas, PK) have to do better is make contact when there's a runner on 3rd, and less than 2 outs. We've been striking out way too much in those situations lately. Considering that our offense basically sucked on this road trip, 4-2 should be considered extremely lucky.

And the two games we lost were because of s*** pitching. It just proves that this team is built entirely on pitching. We don't pitch, we don't win.

True, but we're not giving our pitchers a lot of room for error. Not since the Cubs game last Friday did we give our pitcher any breathing room.

Zito sure sucks, I'm glad that we don't want him.

:banghead

This was a tough one to lose. f***, what a horrible throw Mark.

Found this in the Cubune and found it funny.. did anyone see this??

Firing back

In the top of the ninth, a group of A's fans dressed as an astronaut, a tooth fairy, Santa Claus, a mermaid and a dinosaur held up a sign that read "We don't believe in Carl Everett." The Sox's left fielder, who made controversial comments about homosexuals and fans in last month's Maxim magazine, has said he believes dinosaurs never roamed the earth..

Haha!!!

I wish I could have seen that!
