I just thought it would be fun to see who you think should start and to see if you are right when they announce today who the starter will be. Also tell us why you think he should start.

 

My pick is for Halladay. Coming into today he has 11 wins for a team that is the worst from the ones in the poll, he has the most IP with 131 which is always an impressive power stat, 107 hits allowed, only 16 BB, he is third in the league with 98 K's, leads the league with a 2.40 ERA, leads the league with a 0.94 WHIP, and is second in the league with opponents batting .222.

They won't announce the starter today.

It should be Hallady but the final say depends on the persons manager. Who knows if he will be allowed to pitch in it.

I definitely agree that Halladay has the better stats... but Peter Gammons put it best on the selection show. He said he'd love to see Buehrle start as a tribute to what the White Sox did in the 1st half. Think about it, the Sox have no position players on the team. I think it would be fitting to give Buehrle the start

I would love to see Buehrle start, but realistically I know Halladay is unless he turns in a piss poor performance and Buehrle pitches a gem next time out.

The tribute thing sounds reasonable to me.

Have your read any of my posts envolving the AL starting pitcher for the last month? I was one of like 3 people who were pro Halladay. You have to start reading my posts more intently and taking them to heart, study them, it will make you a better person.

But IMO which Im probaly going to get hated for this the Sox didnt deserve any starters all there players are average. Not superstars but they get the job done as you can see we are 54-26.
