I have grown away from that stuff nowadays, but I am still a huge NIN fan. I will still throw the Wax Trax stuff in every now and then for a glimpse into my high school angry days.

What do you think of the recent NIN music(Fragile and With Teeth)?

Desert Island cd's

1.) Running on Ice--Vertical Horizon

2.) Immaculate Collection--Madonna

3.) My Aaron Copland cd

4.) Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club--Beatles

5.) Greatest Hits--Hank Williams

Currently (and constantly) playing on iTunes

Sugarland's cd

American Woman

These Boots are made for walkin' (Loretta Lynn version)

Picking Wildflowers (Keith Anderson)

Anna Nalick's cd

a couple John Denver songs

These words (natasha beddingford)

and a variety of songs by early 90s country singers

Some current and old school rap/hip-hop

I really enjoy Trent's new stuff. There is a maturity there, that wasn't there before.

It's less about him and more about the music as whole. Very organic.

Played in my iPod the last couple of days:

United States of Electronica - U.S.E.

UNKLE - Never Never Land

Afghan Whigs - Gentleman

Talib Kweli - Beautiful Struggle

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides

Go Home Productions - Mash-Ups

Eric B. and Rakim - Let the Rhythm Hit 'Em

Fleetwood Mac - The Dance

Where's the love for Pigface, Einsturzende Neubauten, and Front 242's masterpieces - "Up Evil" and "Off"?

I am in love with:

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - "Shake the Sheets"

Raveonettes - "Pretty in Black"

Skinnerbox - "What you can do and what you can't"

Junior Senior - "C-c-c-an't Stop The Beat"

and the following songs:

Caviar - "Tangerine Speedo"

Gorillaz - "Feel Good, Inc."

Zita Swoon - "Me and Josie on a Saturday Night"

I like that, i never thought of it that way.

Yes.

I think they sounded too much like other bands coming out at that time, to the masses. The lead singer(only member) was part of Trent Reznor's first band, Lucky Pierre.

They were part of one the best concerts I ever attended.

Prick

Nine Inch Nails

David Bowie

At the World Music Center

It was Incredible!

I was there buddy, in the pavilion, 15th row. Great Show except for Bowie cutting itshort due to illness.

I was just gonna ask if you heard Prick's 2001 album, The Wreckard. I didnt even know there was another album until I did some research lately. It is STRANGE. Some really good stuff, some stuff way out there.

I have a few Lucky Pierre songs on my Ipod as well. I didnt know Reznor was a part of that band, I only thought he appreciated it and brought Kevin McMahon into Nothing records because of his appreciation.

I lived in Carbondale

I love C-Dale, I love the surronding area, I love SIU.

You rock.

1. American Beauty ~ Grateful Dead

2. Johnny Cash's 16 Greatest Hits ~ Johnny Cash

3. Dark Side of the Moon ~ Pink Floyd

4. Any Jimi Hendrix CD

5. Any Lynyrd Skynyrd CD

SIU was fun. Carbondale is beautiful, and the surrounding area is alot of fun if you know whats around. I am going there in 2 weeks for a wedding and to see all my friends, should be a good time.

Yeah he was involved in Lucky Pierre.

I was in the pavillion box seats.

Great Show

I liked the Wreckard, not as much as the earlier stuff. You're right...it's way out there.

I've been rocking a personal mix of Warren Zevon songs...the one that gets the most play has to be "Hit Somebody (The Hockey Song)". Its not only a brilliant song but gotta love the Dave Letterman cameo in it.

As of right now, Rage Against the Machine-Renegades

Saw that show at Polaris Ampitheater in Columbus Ohio. Best show I'd seen... until I saw James Brown.

Hot Hot Heat- Elevator

Birdman- Fast Money

R. Kelly- TP.3

Led Zeppelin- Led Zeppelin III

U2- The Joshua Tree

I've been listening to those mostly the past few days.

EDIT- THESE ARE NOT WHAT I'D BRING TO AN ISLAND

Edited by Pauly8509CWS

Right now, I can't get enough of this Bob Dylan bootleg:

Dimestore Medicine 2CD

It's a mixture of live tracks, outtakes, and acoustic sessions from 1965. This stuff is terrific. Bob's harmonica is supreme.

In the player: Funeral - The Arcade Fire

5 CD's to bring on an island:

1. Quiet is the new Loud - Kings of Convenience

2. Desire - Bob Dylan

3. Arthur - The Kinks

4. Kid A - Radiohead

5. Turn on the Bright Lights - Interpol

I have been reading nothing but good things about Hot Hot Heat's Elevator, but I am pretty unfamiliar with them. I thought I remembered a swing band with the same name. Is that them?

No, Hot Hot Heat is kinda a garage-band kinda sound, one of their tracks is on the new MVP, "You Owe Me an IOU." I don't like that song much but the other tracks have some catchy beats and average lyrics. It's a fun CD.

Right now in my Cd changer

My Chemical Romance

Flogging Molly

Millincolin

Rise Against

Motion City Soundtrac

Fall Out Boy (cork tree)

I also might add that I am really becoming a fan of Blinker the Star. Very cool progressive sound.
