ChiSox_Sonix
http://www.charlotteknights.com/pressbox/t...tions/0712.html Look at the transactions for July 8th It says we signed Brad Fullmer and placed him on the DL Not a bad signing as insurance if that is true. Of course if we signed him and put him on the DL and he hadnt been signed at this point in the season I have no clue what kind of condition he's in. ??? RibbieRubarb
That's him... If he's healthy, he's a solid hitter. But where would he play? He's a DH/1B With Gload coming up, that doesn't give him any place to play. But he could be a good insurance option. Again, if he is 100%
Chisoxfn
Yes, they did sign him a couple days ago. Haven't written up a story yet (waiting to find out the timeline till he's back). The Knights trainer will be checking him out tomorrow, but he will open up on the DL.
Frankensteiner
Wherever he is, I bet he's a lot smaller.
DBAHO
I've just got an inkling that Gload's gonna be moved in a deadline deal, especially if the Sox Brass decide on re-signing Konerko at the end of the year.

DBAHO
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) I hope you're wrong. I'm ready to see Konerko out of Chicago. Oh so am I. But you need to look at it this way. Brian Anderson is not going to put up Konerko like numbers next season, if he's playing everyday in the outfield, and that's if Dye's moving to first. And there's no real big name first baseman free agents out there besides Konerko, with only the likes of J.T Snow and Erubiel Durazo worth considering. Yes Konerko is slow, strikes out a ton at important moments, and is only hitting around .260, but he gives this Sox team a power element that it sorely needs. And I think they're gonna keep him around.

YASNY
We don't even know if the guy will take the field this year, let alone be called up. This sounds a lot like the Escobar signing last year.
