July 22, 200520 yr I think Uribe's problem is a new approach at the plate. Remember that article about Frank taking him under his wing to teach him a strategy that revolved around being more patient? Probably not the easiest transition considering he saw fewer pitches per at-bat than most everyone in the league last year.
July 22, 200520 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) The Colorado media predicted this would happen once he got the big contract. I used to be a Uribe fan, but he seems to be a one-year wonder. It wasn't just the Colorado media
July 22, 200520 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) I hate Alex Gonzalez with a passion too. He's got A. Rowand syndrome, where he'll chase any slider out of the zone with 2 strikes. Furcal would be interesting, but he'll get a lot of money from a big market team. With Gonzalez's stats this season and him being a real Ozzie favorite, I tend to think he's the guy we'll go after if its a SS (unless we get Vizquel). Of course that makes Uribe into a utility player and the Sox have gotta decide whether or not he's worth it at that price.
July 22, 200520 yr QUOTE(CubKilla @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) It wasn't just the Colorado media CK!?!?! Where the f*** have ya been?!?!

July 22, 200520 yr QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 10:33 PM) If a DL is out there that makes sense, Kenny is going to make it. At the same time I don't want him making a deal just to say he made a deal. It better make some sense cause if you go out and force yourself into something it could be even worse. This is the beauty about a big lead, I'm not saying anything is over cause I don't believe it is but atleast with a comfy lead Kenny doesn't have to rush into anything that he might have had to the past few years. He's in the drivers seat, if something's out there that makes sense it'll be done, I got a feeling we'll know very, very soon what KW's up to and when I say soon I mean tomorrow.
