July 22, 200520 yr QUOTE(Ozzie Montana @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) No he's not. The stats prove it. Hillenbrand .297 AVG / .360 OBP runner on .302 AVG / .363 OBP RISP .281 AVG / .350 OBP RISP w/ 2 out .261 AVG / .378 OBP bases loaded .333 AVG / .300 OBP Konerko .251 AVG / .350 OBP runner on .241 AVG / .335 OBP RISP .225 AVG / .346 OBP RISP w/ 2 out .140 AVG / .283 OBP bases loaded .429 AVG / .429 OBP Konerko dominates bases loaded but he only had 7 at bats with the bases juiced. Hillenbrand is a better player. He plays 1st and 3rd. Konerko has 10 HRs more but only 7 more rbi. Allot of his homers are solo and he sucks in the clutch. Just think how many more RBI a guy like Hillenbrand or someone that can hit with RISP would have if they had the opportunity that Koney has had with pods and gooch on base for him. Nice post.

July 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 03:43 AM) If JP is smart, he'll pack it in. He's got three teams above him in the AL East, two of which are NY and Boston. If he gets past both of them, he's still got the O's to worry about. The odds are too long for the Jays this year. I don't think J.P's going to be doing that, unless he gets really wowed by a deal. The Jays have new owners, and payroll is going to increase by 20 to $30 mill in the next 2 to 3 seasons. They're a team I can see having an interest in Paul Konerko however IF they can re-sign him to a long - term deal.
July 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(Winnin Ugly @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) Frank (Toronto) Hey Billy! What is going on with the Bluejays. Do you think they will make any moves at all. Sample (10:43am ET) Their is a rumor out there that the Jays are talking to Chicago about a huge blockbuster trade that would send Ted Lilly,Shea Hillebrand and Miquel Batista over to the Sox That trade would Suck
July 23, 200520 yr QUOTE(JoshPR @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 12:43 AM) That trade would Suck That's three decent ballplayers. I don't see why it would suck.

Lilly is ok, Batista inconsistent Id think Konerko would be part of the deal so Hillenbrand would play 1st and I would consider that an upgrade. Batista would be awesome to have in the pen and could be the closer when Hermy is hurt. Lilly im a little bit iffy on but assuming we keep all our starters that means either him or Duque go to the pen which both could own in.
