Gammons went on to say that "the Dodgers would deal Derek Lowe and/or Odalis Perez if another team was willing to take their contracts." Further proof that Peter Gammons is utter nonsense. OK, Weaver's in the final year of his contract, so of course a trade is likely as the Dodgers continue to tumble. July 23, 200520 yr Old news. Odalis also got shelled in the playoffs last year. I know it was against St. Louis, but an "ace" shouldn't get rocked like that. I'm intrigued by Jeff Weaver since he'll be cheaper and probably a good 4th/5th starter.

We can't face our own division if the division gets the wild card and more than likely not, we're going to be facing a really good offensive team(Bal, Red Sox, Yanks, Anaheim, Texas). Getting Odalis would pretty much defeat the purpose of getting a starting pitcher IMHO.
