Why would you agree to be interviewed by Heads?

Hey, I'm interviewing him, not Heads.

Are you Josh Becketts long lost brother?

In that case...

Alex from Louisville, KY asks:

- Update us on how you feel your arm strength is now compared to where you were before suffering your injury. Do you feel stronger?

- Has losing velocity on pitches forced you to become more of a pitcher rather than just a guy who takes the ball and throws it out there?

- Who was the most influential figure in your baseball career?

- Who is the toughest guy you've faced in your pro baseball career to date?

- Who was your favorite player growing up?

What pitcher in the Sox system impressed you the most and why?

What was your best memory of pitching for Providence Catholic in high school?

What pitcher in the big leagues would you compare yourself to?

Do you follow the progress of Carmen Pignatiello in the Cubs organization, your teammate in High School?

Note: I probably spelled "Pignatiello" wrong.

Did you grow up a White Sox fan, since you grew up near Chicago?- Josh

How tough was it to come back from the surgery you had?- Josh

What, if any, adjustments have you made since your years pitching at Providence, to working your way up the minor leagues, to the injury?

Just want to point out that he never had any surgery. I'm 99% sure Cerb will catch that, but wanted to make sure just in case :)

I heard you went and saw Tom House once, but left soon after he tried to alter your motion. Is there any truth to this, or am I not hearing the whole story? - Jake

Did you get to hang out with any current/former sox players during soxfest in 2002?

Who is you favorite all time player?

Since you lived in the Chicago area when you grew up who did you like better the cubs or white sox?

Kevin

Thanks for the questions everyone. I'm calling Kris around 11 AM or noon here for the interview. I'll most likely write it up Saturday at some point.

Just finished up with talking to Kris. He said a lot of great things and I still don't understand why people think he has a bad personality. He was a great interview and he said he finally feels 100%, which is awesome to hear. I'll type my story up ASAP, guys.

Excellent, and I can't wait to see it!

I'm typing out the interview now and I noticed some really huge things. Kris had a big change in the tone of his voice when he was talking about being injured. You could really tell how hard it was for Kris not to pitch and be injured. When I started to talk to Kris about being 100% and his last few starts he became a lot more optimistic. I could tell that he was having a lot of fun pitching now and he feels that he's very close to becoming dominating again.

I think the main thing to understand is not to write off Kris at all. John Sickels and BA and even us to an extent have all but forgotten about Kris, but I have no doubt in my mind that Kris is going to tear up AA next year. He has a lot of confidence going for him right now, and that's great to see after coming off a very bad injury.
