July 31, 200520 yr Why would they trade Youkalis when Bellhorn is injured??? IF Cora is their SS, Im sure Graffy wont be the starting 2B.... They wanted Romero, I do believe, but wanted to keep Mueller so that's why Youkilis. I do not know if this is true, however...

The M's then shipped Tracy and Jamie Moyer to the Minnesota Twins for pitcher Carlos Silva and minor league pitchers Boof Bonser and Beau Kemp, along with minor league outfielder Brent Abernathy.

By the way was the Lawton deal officially announced, who did the Piratees get? Jody Gerut. WSI also has afew members that say they heard this. It was per Mike Dahl, whoever the hell that is. For those wondering, Tracy is hitting right around .300 with 14 hr's in a semi platoon role. He was one of their top prospects and is a very very smooth hitter.

Considering the reports that Moyer turned down deals to Houston and Atlanta, I can't see him accepting a deal to the Twins. However thats a deal that makes no sense for the M's anyway cause they have Sexson/Beltre at 1st/3rd.
