August 3rd Game thread

Big inning for Duque coming up with 3 righties up. Cotts should be warming up if/when he gets into trouble, and Koskie is up.

No, one homer doesn't change my view on a player.

That was a big hit but I don't change on a whim like that.

65 RBIs and one sac Fly from our number 4 hitter. There is no reason to change your view.

With all of the opps he has had. He should have 80 RBIS.

Yep, I'm the same way. Sure, I'm just as happy as anyone else that when a player comes through. However, doesn't mean I'm going to automatically think they're the greatest player since Timo Perez!

I didnt say change your view on a player...i said give him a break. seems like u just focus on the negative aspects and forget what he has done to help the sox this season

This could be a long thread in itself.

Another example of a pitcher not shutting down the other team after we score here?

Hawk quit your god damn b****ing.

It was 0-1 to Hillenbrand not 3-2.

Will someone please f***ing tell Hawk it was a 0-1 count on Shea? In Hawk's words: that's BS!

Just like your prediction of the Jays scoring double digits tonight.

Wrong!

I said one of the teams would. This game's not close to being over.

Great play Aaron to get in position and not allow him to tag.

I'd like to see Cotts in to face Koskie now. Last few batters have hit Duque hard, and Koskie's bat speed is perfect for Duque.

Pk is hitting a robust .000 w/ runners on 3rd at home this year. :o

Mercy. Good job finding that stat.

He pissed me off in the 1st, but kudos for Orlando for shutting em out for the next 5 innings.

Atta boy El Duque!

Good job by Duque not allowing a run that inning, and shoving it in my face. Walker's been a pretty damn good reliever this season.

Which is why Koskie is now 3-for-18 lifetime off of El Duque.

You're right. Koskie's bat speed is perfect for El Duque, just not in the way you meant it. ;)

Definitely. We should be winning this game. The Jays have one guy LOB the entire game.

If nothing else, we've gotten to their bullpen after 5 innings.

And .042 overall.

Found that he is hitting .368 with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

But .145 with runners in scoring position. Awful.

I'd rather face the starter than the guys in the Blue Jays bullpen. Dye just had a great pitch to hit before, and popped up.

Oh, but he is doing much better on the road hitting .083. Keep in mind this is in only 24 total ab's, but still.

2 pathetic outs

I love it when you see a high outside pitch and our guys try to pull and elevate it.
