August 9, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) Podsednik LF Iguchi 2B Pierzynski C Konerko 1B Perez DH Dye RF 21 Rowand CF Crede 3B Uribe SS Who else is stoked? This will be the 1st game all year that i won't be watching.
August 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) This will be the 1st game all year that i won't be watching. So, if Timo wasn't batting 5th, you'd watch? Don't you think you're going a little overboard?
August 9, 200520 yr The only thing I'm hoping for is that the YES Network stupidly assumed the same exact lineup just because it was used yesterday. I thought AJ was only hitting 3rd because he had success vs Mussina? Don't do it Ozzie!
August 9, 200520 yr I dont see the problem hitting 5th, it means with Dye and Rowand behind him, he will see better pitches to hit and he showed yesterday he can hit them!!!

It also means that Pk won't see anything to hit....... And AJ batting 3rd?? Please.
August 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 09:10 PM) It also means that Pk won't see anything to hit....... And AJ batting 3rd?? Please. Well, Pauly managed to get 2 hits yesterday while not seeing anything to hit. I'm willing to bet that where Timo bats will have little to no bearing on the outcome tonight...as it did last night.
August 9, 200520 yr QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) It also means that Pk won't see anything to hit....... And AJ batting 3rd?? Please. Jesus christ!!! 846 posts in a month. That's unreal.
August 9, 200520 yr Some of the stuff being said in this thread could be interpreted as negativity. Watch out, guys.
August 9, 200520 yr Someone want to fill me in with what was so wrong about Rowand batting in the 3rd spot? I know he doesn't hit the usual number of HRs a 3rd place hitter does, but I thought in a "Robby Alomar in his prime" way, Rowand fit the bill pretty well, especially when Pods and Gooch are getting on base at a good clip. (and not that Rowand is R. Alomar in his prime, but anyway, it's the best we can do right now) PODS Gooch Rowand PK AJ Dye Crede Perez Uribe

(and not that Rowand is R. Alomar in his prime, but anyway, it's the best we can do right now) Dye should hit #3. Aaron doesn't seem patient enough as a #3 hitter. Too many times this year I've seen him swing at a 1st pitch after 2 quick outs.
August 9, 200520 yr There are a lot of Timo haters on this board. But I don't believe what I'm seeing -- they're attacking him after he was one of the only guys in the lineup yesterday to do his job at the plate. Timo Haters, show some respect.

But I don't believe what I'm seeing -- they're attacking him after he was one of the only guys in the lineup yesterday to do his job at the plate. Timo Haters, show some respect. I respect the fact that he somehow has a job, and got a raise, after being below average at his job for the 3rd consecutive year. That takes some serious ass-kissing.
August 9, 200520 yr I'm more upset about AJ batting third and Rowand batting 7th. I think having Rowand down there is plain rediculous. AJ doesn't need to be there, either put Rowand or Dye in the 3 hole.

I respect him as a person, but as a player.....well.....not so much.

August 10, 200520 yr Hopefully we can get him in the lineup today or tommrow however you want to look at it. Edited August 10, 200520 yr by ScottPodRulez22
August 10, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) How many times PK walk yesterday and today??? If I were the Yankees I wouldn't have thrown PK 1 pitch to hit w/ Timo behind him, nice to see Embree challenge him tonite.
August 10, 200520 yr I don't hate Timo at all. I just don't think he shouldn't be hitting 5th in the order.
