Garcia pitches like a pussy to Mauer, and pays for it.  4 game losing streak, here we come!

soon to be 1st of the year. whats sad is that 3 runs should be fine to overcome...meanwhile where would Jr play??

Who the f*** cares about the first week. Robin Ventura was 0-41. So what?

Because if you suck for your first few weeks to a month, you usually get sent back down. See Arnie Munoz, Felix Diaz, Brandon McCarthy, and countless others.

NEAUMORE MORNEAU!

My philosophy is if Matt Murton can contribute for nearly a month (estimation with 48 AB's), anyone can.

If Anderson is our top hitting prospect, I would appreciate more than a .214 Timo-esque average over his extended stay on our club. If he hits .260-270 as Danman projected, I won't have a problem. But if he struggles mightily I'll be concerned.

Garcia is just phenomenal at home. One more hit, and he will have allowed 10 hits in 4 of his last 6 starts.

Hitters are batting about .318 against Garcia since the ASB, including a WHIP around 1.58.

He sucks at home and at night, so this isn't a very good combo.

only 2 Ks tonight for him too. the hits and lack of Ks is a concern. throughout his career garcia has been streaky thats for sure

Well the Twins just won the game. That would be two much for the Sox to get three runs in one game.

They need to get Griffey because if they go into the playoffs with this team I see a quick three games and done.

its already been established by hawk that griffey has nowhere to play on this team

So you're saying he'd be a great playoff pitcher?

Thats the thing with Garcia...I just dont see the #1/2 type starter in him that most claim he is...just looks kinda bleh to me everytime I see him.

Assuming we get home field in round 1...game 3 should be his.

If its on the road and during the day he'd almost be unbeatable.

We need to get something, because the Indians and Twins have plenty in the tank to catch up with the Sox. The Twins have been getting some great pitching lately, and the Indians hitting (besides 2 Tampa games) has been ungodly lately.

Yet somehow he has an ERA of 3.69.

behind whoever in FLA is number 3, hes the best number 3 pitcher in the bigs imo

Carlos Silva would be the best number 3 if he's a number 3. But I'm not sure he is. He's probably the number 2. So Radke's a really good 3 too.

Who the hell is Hawk the GM? Oh wait they tried that once and he set the Franchise back 5 years.

Hawk loves Griffey Jr. I can almost guarantee you that he's been told to say certain things. Trust me, if we were really close to a trade, they wouldn't be reading an e-mail about Griffey Jr. every other second. In my opinion, we're using Hawk as a pseudo-publicist in order to state why we don't need him.

i still think id rather have garcia over radke. silva is a freak. we talk about buerhle having good control and never striking guys out and letting the D do the work....silva 8 walks this year only 60Ks in 159 IP.....8 BB!

Even with Griffey .. the offesne will be pathetic... why even get him.

Could be. Thing is, he wasn't brought here to be a #3. If Garland doesn't have a breakout year, Garcia is looked upon to be the guy right behind Buehrle.

Problem is, you know what Garcia is gonna do just about every outing.....stuggle in the first inning, giving up 1-4 runs, then shutting the opposition down but still giving up a few too many hits, then running into another inning that leaves him on teh hook. His WHIP has absolutely sucked since the ASB

Yah. Somebody needs to fire the guy in Philly who said that Eric Milton was worth more than Carlos Silva.
