If you rest Pitcher A, then Pitcher B is unavailable for a day or two.  Then you'd be accusing Ozzie of not being able to manage a bullpen.  Imagine that!

If pitcher A doesn't allow any runs then that's fine but if pitcher A lets up a s*** load of runs and Ozzie does not take him out then that would be different. Pitcher B does not need to be used every game, nor does pitcher A, especially for a third of an inning. Like two games ago when Ozzie brought in Cotts to get the last out in the top of the ninth. Why? Why??????? We are down, let's finish up the inning and get some runs!

Ok so we decide to bring in a bunch of solid relievers right before the game ends... Save some of them and use one and then brin gin Hermy.. THere is absolutely no reason to bring in half of the bullpen just because you have them and because of "matchups". Has anyone ever heard of resting them? They don't have to play every game. Ozzie really needs to learn to not watch for matchups..

Using a pitcher for one or two batters does not make them unavailable for the next game. Also, you dont play for the 16th inning. There are 2 or 3 of those in all of baseball every year. You never assume the game will go that long and you play to win in 9, which is what Ozzie did. The only thing he did wrong with the pen is put in Hermy if he wasnt 100%. That is the only bullpen gripe from this game. (Unless you wanna argue Cotts could have been left in for 1-2 more innings)

I thought they could have left Marte and Cotts in a little longer, even one out each and Herm only comes in for the last out or not in at all.

the fact that we didnt need adkins till the 16th inning showed Ozzie's management of the pen was perfectly fine.  The Twins would of been in the same situation if they hadnt used guerrier for 4 innings.

I agree. While Adkins was truly awful, I can't put the 16-inning loss on him or on Ozzie's managing. Ozzie managed to win in 9 innings. If Herm doesn't give up the gopher-ball to Cuddyer, I wouldn't have been so tired at work yesterday. Or if the Sox offense could drive in a guy from second with one out, same story. Or if Cuddyer doesn't snag Crede's liner in extra innings, same story.

Maybe Adkins could have made it through the 16th if the umpire doesn't blow the call at first base (and honestly, it was too close to legitimately call it a "blown call") for the non-DP, but if the Sox couldn't manage a run in those extra innings, they didn't deserve to win that game.
