Staredown

Featured Replies

Frank Robinson had a stare down with an ump for 44.5 seconds. Showed the whole thing on SC. Pretty hilarious.

Best part was when the ump finally gave up and said "unbelievable". It was classic.

I always miss the good stuff on SC.. The few times I turn it on it is garbage on New Mexico or some other damn state. :bang

Frank Robinson seemed to be arguing for the sake of arguing. Was mad cuz the strike call was late. Gee.

It was one of the better moments I have seen on sportscenter in the past 5 years. Robinson has a great poker face.

I knew what you were referencing the second I saw it.

Laughed my ass off.

i think everyone did

I was cracking up the entire 45 seconds. I just kept wondering when it was going to end, and even after the 45 seconds they had another stare down for a few seconds.

anybody know what inning it was?

lol I was laughing pretty hard too, it was great. And I knew from the beginning that Robinson was gonna win, he still has that fire on the day of his 70th birthday.

anybody know where I could get video of this?

HaHa. They just showed it on ABC 7 at 5:25.

Where I came from there were 2 different things, a staring contest, and a blinking contest. The blinking was when you don't blink and the staring was that you could blink, just not look away.

Yeah I remember at our school friends of mine changed the rules because of that. It sounds stupid now, but at least it worked then, haha.

Does anyone know where you can find this video at? I'm looking and I can't find it.

That's why I like Frank. He's probaby not a nice guy. He is 70 years old and he hit 586 homers. He doesn't give a damn what anybody thinks. Kind of cool

Where I come from, there's cornbread and chicken.

Anyone has any clue what I'm referencing and they get a virtual cookie.

I'm guessing if everyone who knew, posted in this thread, it would be as empty as a Monday morning church.
