Cleveland @ Chicago 7:05

Is this another game where Freddie let us down? We got four runs. The fans are cheering him so perhaps the fact he showed some guts after getting behind 4-0 was impressive.

Great job Freddy. He struggled early but really battled through and kept the Sox in this game. He showed a lot of toughness and I for one am thinking this will be the game that gets him back on track down the stretch.

Hopefully Neal can come in and set the tribe down and keep this game tied up.

I'm not crazy about Cotts here. I'd rather see Marte.

I don't have a good feeling about this game. We needed to take the lead and haven't. That runner standing on third in Dye was mighty close to home to strand.

We stranded 2 risp the last 2 innings. Those may come back to bite us if our bp doesn't shut em down

from the way wedge was talking to millwood he is done

We'll get Mr. Steroid Bettancourt next inning. Pods is a huge leadoff batter, as he'll definitely be in motion if he gets on base.

Notice how there is no respect for Ozzie for finally getting him out of the game before he messed up.

The fact we are at home should be ultra important tonight. But will it be?

to all those who say ozzie lets freddy go too long because he is friends with him and wants to get him wins......wrong

Good job by Garcia keeping us in the game and keeping the 5th inning momentum.

I know it wasn't his greatest start, but I think you have to give the guy credit. He totally battled through this game and kept the Sox in it. He also at least went 6.1 innings so the Sox didn't have to go to the pen really early. It could turn out to be a difference maker tonight and later on in this series.

Although I already am calling a Buehrle complete game tomorrow night.

I don't want to see Viz in this game. All it takes is one hanging slider from himand Cleveland will take the lead

When will Garcia have a quality start?

Marte's our new closer vs lefty hitters.

This game still has a possibility of us needing a 9th inning lefty or one in extra innings. I sure like Cotts here alot more than Viz.

Good point chsoxfan ... Cotts can't be the scapegoat. He has to pitch well.

Exactly...its something Freddy has shown countless times he has. He flat out did his job tonight regardless of the early runs. He got down and really stepped up.

Freddy battled, but he clearly didnt have it tonite. :cheers to him for hanging in there

This is a big and inconsistant strikezone.

Because many of us thought he should have been out earlier. Even greasy was upset.

i agree with you but am concerned with the high pitch count in a pressure game might lead to a letdown against the twins later in the week...? it is all fun the rest of the way fellas!

Yes, but notice how he was taken out without f***ing up.

I want Cotts in there until after Victor Martinez turn up.

i only saw the last half inning of freddys game.....but he had a nasty breaker with good movement on the fastball.....im guessin it took him a while to settle in and find it...how was his stuff early?

Cotts hasn't gotten much work lately, so he is not the scapegoat if he blows it IMO.

Close Pitch didn't get it
