September 21, 200520 yr With a healthy Hermanson next year our bullpen with no changes is disgustingly filthy. Jenks has thrown 4 of 5 days in tight games, Aaron misplayed that ball. Hermanson with the win. Why not use Cliff more often???
September 21, 200520 yr I think Jenks will be fine last night was his third night in a row pitching and his fourth in the last five days. It is critical that Ozzie makes him unavailable till Friday maybe Saturday. A couple of blowout wins would be nice.
September 21, 200520 yr I agree, he's nervous right now, but the more he sees these situations, the better he'll get. Someone also pointed out that he's tipping his pitches, especially his curve. He needs more control and confidence in that pitch and he'll be fine.

Jenks has also been let down by the other people on the team 2 nights in a row. We don't need Crede at all tonight if Aaron Rowand does his job in center field. We don't have any trouble at all last night if Marte doesn't walk a guy.
September 21, 200520 yr Someone just needs to give Jenks a beer on the team bus and tell him to relax a little. Jenks is still a kid and he's been thrown into the closer's role in a pennant race. So he's been damn solid all things considered and will only get better as he learns and settles down. I'm still picturing Jenks pumping his fist as the Sox close out a playoff series.
