Famous White Sox Fans

Featured Replies

Tomorrow we're going to see shots of Ben and Stephen King and Robert Redford and a bunch of different celebs and it got me wondering. Who we got?

Mayor Daley. Although having the mayor of the city your from isn't really a celeb. Although in a split city I guess it could be. And it's cool having him.

I don't even know any other ones.

Do we at least have the person most likely to be bigger than Oprah in 5 years, Kanye West?

Anybody famous from Chicago that I can think of is a Cubbies fan. I suppose that helps out their careers more than wearing a Sox cap.

Michael Jordan is often seen in a White Sox Suite!!!

Doc Rivers was mentioned on Reifert's blog yesterday.

George Wendt

Take it for what its worth, but the 2005 Chicago White Sox DO have the Rex Kickass seal of approval.

Bernie Mac is a big sox fan...

... Fox (the network for whom he works) made him sing the 7th inning stretch on a Fox broadcast at Wrigley one day. He refused to sing "root root root for the cubbies"

Also, I swear I saw Carl Lewis at a home game earlier this year in a sox jersey

Yup, I saw Carl Lewis too. Jenny McCarthy is a big Sox fan, and I remember reading when they asked Kanye West Sox or Cubs, he said "Sox."

Seriously, who doesn't like George Wendt?

I don't like Wendt. He was funny as Norm, but he has always come across as a jerk in interviews.

That's right. How can any list be sad if it includes Ray Rayner?

Was MJ there rooting for our Sox? Francona was his AA manager...

if memory serves me right this wasn't just any game, I believe it was the Bartman game, and he's now part of the curse because Cubs fans think he's part of it since it was a Sox fan singing the 7th inning stretch. You could tell Mac wasn't thrilled to be doing it and I think he might have said something weird during it.

If the Sox go deeper you will see a lot of mugging for the camera.
