Thanks, I'd better extend the recording time then.

According to ESPN.com's scoreboard...first pitch is scheduled for 8:03 EST...7:03 CST, 5:03 for me.

So expect another half hour. It has been at least 28 minutes longer than what the official time says for every game this post-season.

No, the official time is 7:30 EST, so it should start around 8 EST.

Go Sox!!!

Edited by longshot7

I'd say it just starts a little past the 7:03 Chicago time start. Fox can't have that much pregame to do, since they start coverage at 6:30.

We shall see... hopefully you are right.

In earlier games, they've started the pregame coverage at like 5:00 for 5:28 starts out here.

That gives them a 33 minute pregame, which sounds about right.

Which means...we're 1 hour and 3 minutes away.

And since we're now so close...it's time for this one.

(Thunder...x10)

I was caught

In the middle of a railroad track (Thunder)

And I knew there was no turning back (Thunder)

My mind raced

And I thought what could I do (Thunder)

And I knew

There was no help, no help from you (Thunder)

Sound of the drums

Beatin' in my heart

The thunder of guns

Tore me apart

You've been - thunderstruck

Went down the highway

Broke the limit, we hit the town

Went through to Texas, yeah Texas

And we had some fun

We met some girls

Some dancers who gave a good time

Broke all the rules, played all the fools

Yeah, yeah, they, they, they blew our minds

I was shakin' at the knees

Could I come again please?

Yeah the ladies were too kind

You've been - thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck

Oh, thunderstruck

Yeah

Now we're shaking at the knees

Could I come again please?

Thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck

Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah

Said yeah, it's alright

We're doing fine

Yeah, it's alright

We're doing fine

So fine

Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah,

Tunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Whoa baby, baby, thunderstruck

You've been thunderstruck, thunderstruck

Thunderstruck, thunderstruck

You've been thunderstruck

This is the Rocket's line from the last time, I'm pretty sure, that he faced the White Sox, 8/26/03:
New York Yankees      IP     H   R  ER  BB  SO  HR
Clemens L(12-8)        4.2   7   9   9   4   5   4

The White Sox won 13-2.  Roger gave up four homers, including a memorable slam to Thomas:

HR: Konerko 2 (14,2nd inning off Clemens 0 on, 2 out,8th inning off White 1 on, 0 out); Crede (16,3rd inning off Clemens 0 on, 0 out); Thomas (35,5th inning off Clemens 3 on, 1 out); Ordonez 2 (25,5th inning off Clemens 0

Two guys from tonight’s line up took him long. Keep this in mind during the pregame canonization of the great Roger Clemens.

He may have fewer at bats...but don't miss looking @ the Rally Crede's numbers against Clemens. He and Konerko have the same # of Home Runs.

I think that our guys will go in tonight ready to face the man Roger Clemens, not hte myth of Roger Clemens. I think we will scratch out 3-4 against him and it will come down to what Jose can do. My prediction: 4-2 Sox. Jose goes the distance.

CLTV claims first pitch at 7:19, I've also heard 7:25, so I'd expect sometime between there. Makes sense, long ass FOX pregame, pregame festivities (celebrity stuff), intorodcution on the lines of both teams (though I don't mind hearing Gene Honda), and the dumb McCarver/Buck intros and keys to the game, with like 5 breaks in between. That is going to absolutely kill me, a week was bad enough, and now they'll tease me

LETTTS GETTT IT STARRRRRRRTTEEEEEDDDD

Here's a question...how many innings will our bullpen pitch this series? We should run a poll on that one.

Reason for optimism:

The Astros do not have Paul Byrd.

Our starters were awesome in the ALCS. If they can go 7+ solid in each game i'll be more than satisfied. We have a solid bullpen for a reason. Lets use them. LETS DO THIS!!! GAME TIME IS A BLINK AWaY. I LIVE FOR THIS!! GO SOX!!

My prediction for tonite.......4-1 Sox. We will score 3 runs off Clemens, Iguchi will hit a 2 run homer, and Contreras will go the distance :gosox1: Now, LET'S KICK SOME ASSTROS!!!!!!! :headbang
