A New Record For Most Users Online

Featured Replies

This is awesome, a big thank you goes out to the Chicago White Sox for winning the American League Pennant. The previous record was 212 I believe and it was because of the Carlos Lee trade I think. Today, the White Sox going to the World Series has set the new record. Congrats to all on Soxtalk, but most of all, Congrats to the Chicago White Sox for making it happen, having a wonderful season, and most of all, making it to the World Series in which almost all of us have never been around to see before.

:cheers :cheers :cheers

Way to be :D

Took me awhile to get in. Cheers!!!!!!!

You guys crashed the site for a little while, and I couldn't have been happier! :)

Actually in all seriousness, we were down for only about two minutes - I happened to be on and reset it and then we were good the rest of the night.

But, two weeks from yesterday, or sooner, we need to crash this thing and burn it... after 4 MORE!

AMazing how fast the AL Championship banner was designed and put up ;) You must have had your finger on the button. :lolhitting

Can any mod confirm this... The Real record is 312, no? At least it was that since January. :huh

At that time search bots and other non-human connections inflated the total. That was more a feather in Kap's cap for keeping the server humming and handling the hits. Last night, was the "real human record".

Behind the scenes, the smart techies here planned for and adjusted for the traffic, making certain this was a great place to celebrate.

Thanks Jason :cheers

Great Ticketmaster fiasco generates 251 users, a new record.

Now we know why the newspapers report bombing, not school openings.

And the too many connections error we got then was my fault - i was running a search. oops.

I'm going to be doing some server work later today probably, so we should be good through next week - but if we win the whole shooting match, all bets are off.

We're crashing more today than a meth addict the day before the welfare check.

And that's the problem in this country, people too damn lazy to go out and steal something, instead just waiting for the government check.

I found a forum where their record is over 34,000 users online. when I happened to scope their board they had 4,000 users online at the time ( it was 2am)

I'm pretty sure they do not have our "charm". :P

We do really well for a sports/baseball forum . Their are only a few baseball forums with more activity then soxtalk.
