December 5, 200520 yr I say BEARRRRRRRRRRRS 20 Steelers 10 Rothlesburger gets sacked at least 5 times and the Bus is held to less than 75 yards rushing. Defense scores one of our touchdowns and sets up another.
December 5, 200520 yr Pittsburgh is the early favorite by 4. I'll take the points and say Pittsburgh 24 Chicago 13 137-54 this year for me. Not too bad for myself.
December 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) Pittsburgh is the early favorite by 4. I'll take the points and say Pittsburgh 24 Chicago 13 137-54 this year for me. Not too bad for myself. Ummm...but you lost the one that mattered
December 5, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) 137-54 this year for me. Not too bad for myself. Not too shabby. I won the soxtalk NFL picks contest last year, although it was pretty f***ing retarded because nobody sticks with it over the course of an entire season. There were like 6 guys who hadn't missed a week by the time all was said and done. When it comes to fantasy games on this site, there are only a handful of people that aren't irresponsible. It was such a joke that the guy I beat by one point (knightni) didn't even remember that I won the contest. He's got that super-potent flame weed I've been trying to get a hold of.
December 5, 200520 yr I won't win the Yahoo Soxtalk one because I imported my picks from the SouthSideSox contest but didn't hit submit. I own the ESPN "experts".
December 6, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 12:19 PM) Bears 21, Steelers 17. Bears get 14 points on defense :-P. That wouldn't surprise me one bit. I bet the offensive touchdown they get is scored after a long kick or interception return.
December 6, 200520 yr I don't know what the Vegas line for the total is, but I don't think it matters. Take the under.
December 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) 30.5 I definitely like the under, then. Of course, last week I would have taken UCLA and the points, so don't take my word for it....
December 7, 200520 yr I hear the Steelers O-line has had a lot of trouble generating consistent pass protection for Big Ben. Brown and Ogunleye should dominate.

December 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 08:52 AM) LOL If their offensive line doesn't play the game of their lives they're gonna have to carry off Big Ben.........one piece at a time. I dont know, this offensive line is one year removed from being considered the best in the league. I have faith in the Bears defense, no doubt, but I know that this is gonna be a bigtime test. Ben R's worth is going to be tested though. The ground game for the Steelers has been pretty much non-existent for the last 7-8 games, and the Bears are going to have to keep this trend alive for success. If the Bears can force Roethlisburger to throw alot, I think they are going to win, if the Steelers get off on the running game, the Bears could be in big trouble.
December 7, 200520 yr Its actually been the running game that the OL is having the most problems with. Injuries have forced the Steelers to use two rookies on the tackles lately. Not to mention our center Jeff Hartings is WAY over his playing prime and will likely be replaced next year. Ben threw for a career high last week with a possible broken thumb, he just made a few mistakes that ended up killing us. But don't get me wrong, the entire team has been playing bad lately and has led to speculation that Cowher's style has finally worn off.
December 7, 200520 yr Bears 17 Steelers 3 2 TDs and 240 yards for Orton as he silences his critics because all he does is win. (If you guys are looking for a good Bears forum www.webwaymonsters.com)
