December 8, 200520 yr Does this make Fuentes available at all? Or is he their closer? I honestly don't know anything about the Rockies, really.
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:30 AM) Does this make Fuentes available at all? Or is he their closer? I honestly don't know anything about the Rockies, really. Fuentes has indeed become their closer and they're working on a long term deal for him.
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) why the f*** are the making that trade. Ray king wanted out of st louis and the cardinals liked who they got back?
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) Ray king wanted out of st louis and the cardinals liked who they got back? when did Ray King want out of St. Louis?
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) when did Ray King want out of St. Louis? Oh, i don't know... the last two months?
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) Oh, i don't know... the last two months? didn't hear anything about this. Great guy Ray King. Got the chance to meet him while his with the Braves. It's not gonna be easy for him at Coors Field.

December 8, 200520 yr Yeah Ray bought his way outta St. Louis for the playoffs incident.. His father passed away and he was struggling and not pitching.. I'm surprised we even got this much for King let alone a bag of chips..
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) LOL. That brings to mind the old adage .... Be careful what you ask for. yup. my guess is that he is traded at the deadline once the Rockies figure out they aren't in it. Might look good in a Sox Uniform. Would be an upgrade over Marte.
December 8, 200520 yr This of course is the same Ray King who said that based on a few exhibition games against Japanese AllStars that Iguchi couldnt hit heat. Maybe he can help the Rockies with his expertise in Japanese baseball talent.
December 8, 200520 yr Ray is a good guy, but like Steve Klins he b****ed and he was actually there second best lefty as Flores becamse pretty solid. The Cards had two holes in their corner OF spots so Bigbie will likely fill one of them while Miles is in the mix at second although I have to think they will try for someone else as well
December 8, 200520 yr QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) when did Ray King want out of St. Louis? When they stopped making him St Louis style pizzas.
December 8, 200520 yr The Cardinals were too cheap to give Grudzielanek the deal he wanted. They now have a crappy second baseman and a mediocre corner outfielder. Aaron Miles sucks. Miles for Uribe was an outstanding trade by Kenny. Edited December 8, 200520 yr by SSH2005
