Ray King is heading to the Rockies

Former White Sox player Aaron Miles and Larry Bigbie are heading to the Cardinals.

That is all I have heard so far.

why the f*** are the making that trade.

Does this make Fuentes available at all? Or is he their closer? I honestly don't know anything about the Rockies, really.

Fuentes has indeed become their closer and they're working on a long term deal for him.

LOL. That brings to mind the old adage .... Be careful what you ask for.

Yeah Ray bought his way outta St. Louis for the playoffs incident.. His father passed away and he was struggling and not pitching.. I'm surprised we even got this much for King let alone a bag of chips..

yup. my guess is that he is traded at the deadline once the Rockies figure out they aren't in it. Might look good in a Sox Uniform. Would be an upgrade over Marte.

This of course is the same Ray King who said that based on a few exhibition games against Japanese AllStars that Iguchi couldnt hit heat. Maybe he can help the Rockies with his expertise in Japanese baseball talent.

Ray is a good guy, but like Steve Klins he b****ed and he was actually there second best lefty as Flores becamse pretty solid. The Cards had two holes in their corner OF spots so Bigbie will likely fill one of them while Miles is in the mix at second although I have to think they will try for someone else as well

When they stopped making him St Louis style pizzas.

The Cardinals were too cheap to give Grudzielanek the deal he wanted. They now have a crappy second baseman and a mediocre corner outfielder. Aaron Miles sucks. Miles for Uribe was an outstanding trade by Kenny.

Aaron Miles, the one who got away... Oh wait...
