Surround Sound Test Movies?

Featured Replies

My wife's Aunt and Uncle recently bought a surround sound system for their new house. I want to show a movie (or a sceen from a movie) that will knock their socks off. We've watched Polar Express and the beginning of Lader 49.

I was thinking the loby shooting screen in the Matrix. ANy other ideas?

Saving Private Ryan is pretty good.

The new War of the Worlds has some great sound.

Three Kings- When George Clooney is describing Sepsis.

The Untouchables- The Famous Gun fight.

xXx- The Avalanche scene.

The Fast and the Furious

2 Fast 2 Furious

The scene in which the Titanic crashes into a big ice berg. :D

Nah, but seriously, the only thing I can think about right now is Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The Coruscant Chase scene in the beginning of the film.

Try Jurassic Park....

Try Jurassic Park....

HELL YEAH,

Athomeboy, if the room doesn't move when Dino enters the scene, tell them to take that s*** back.

True Lies is another solid one. Saving Private Ryan (when they storm the banks of normandy is another great one).

Top Gun is supposed to be a good one for this.

Go for broke and go rent George Lucas' "THX". Start where surround sound was defined ;)

Saving Private Ryan, the first scene is really good.

Brother Hood of the Wolves is good, the first scene.

Even though the movies suck, Star Wars I-III have great sound.

I have also heard that Twister is supposed to be a great one for sound.
