Tom Glavine would give him a run for his money.

Not a chance. I got to see McCaskill play in college -- he was a damn fine player.

Or as I like to call him, the Cancer.

You guys are cheating. You are supposed to give a memory of the player someone else mentions before you list a new player!!! Anyone can dig up old player names, the fun is actually remembering something about them.

On the '83 team. Pitcher, for sure, right-hander, and I think out of the pen.

I was only 6.

His 2-19 record with Pittsburgh ranked for a long time as most losses in a season.

Anthony Young from the Mets tied that sometime in the 90s, and the next season was traded to the Cubs.

Only thing i remember about Mike was when we traded him to the Giants.

Uhmm..

Graig Grebek

my dad and i attended a sox / angles game like we always did back then.... at the game my dad caught a foul ball from grebek... we stayed after the game and got it signed by "the little hurt"..... such a nice guy, we must have chatted for about 30 minutes with him.

More like Scott Roughed-Up Corn. The Joe Borchard of pitchers.

Sorry bout that...7500+ posts and I still don't have all the rules down here.

Dale Sveum - I could never figure out how the hell that name was pronouced like it was.

Terry Leach - probably one of the first sidearmers I ever watched pitch.

Mike Huff - I always thought his name sounded funny. I never liked it when he played either.

He filled-in for Ozzie after he tore up his knee in that horrible collision w/Raines.

Donnie Hill.

I always thought Donnie Hill looked like a woman. HE was just sort of soft looking, nothing against him,

Here's another ... Bob James, closer 86-87ish. As I recall he had a decent fastball but nothing more.

If you are going to bring up Deleon, you may as well bring up that low level prospect that we traded for him ( in his first stint with the team), Bobby Bonilla. Thanks Hawk!

Lefthanded power hitter from the Yankees who played the Outfield and DH for us.

How about another lefty power hitter that we acquired: Steve Kemp

I mentioned him on the previous page.

How about one of my all time favorite Sox players. Chet Lemon. IMO, In today's era of short porches and catchers that can't throw, I think he could have easily been a 30/30 guy. I hate when he wsa traded to the Tigers. Detroit is one place that I don't like players that I like going. Which is why I don't mind Maggggglio being there.

Chet Lemon used to knock his hat off when he was chasing down fly balls in the outfield. I think he thought it made it look like he was running fast.
