wow, EA Sports ESPN ticker integration

Featured Replies

wow, first, look at what this game looks like (MVP 06).

When the game is hooked to the internet (XBOX Live), it streams a live sports ticker at the bottom. AND, while fooling around in menu's and what not, it automatically plays ESPN Radio updates every 20 minutes. I cannot wait for this game!

well, im still down with the halo 2, but i dominate mvp online, and 06 shall be no different.

haha nice, ive never really tried any xbox live game due to my bro playing halo 2 all day on it.

but its a must that ill have to at least try this game out on it ^^.

baseball on xbox live sounds real fun, ill deffinitly get into it.

Looks great!

Still, I have nothing against college baseball, but I'd have a tough time getting a baseball game that didn't have the White Sox in it. The graphics and features are enticing though.

It's even harder for me to justify dropping any cash on MVP 06. I'd have to pick a college team.

thats the same way how i feel.

It's like if I was going to play NCAA football but it only had the ACC, SEC and Big Ten. I wouldn't buy the game. It wouldn't be worth it to create an ISU team, even if it was possible, cause I likes my realism.

yay for having a college baseball stadium a few blocks from my dorm.

I'm going to have to go and take pictures for reference when i create it in the game.

methinks the create-a-stadium feature will not be very good, ala MVP 05. that was one of the features I was most excited for, and it was awful.

pick the color of your seats, pick between three outfield walls, there's your stadium.

It looks pretty awesome but I cant buy a game when I dont know any of the players.... hell if it was even only the minor leagues id of thought about buying it but college baseball does nothing for me.

I'm gonna be all over this game. I assume it will be released for 360? Cause my thoughts are I'll purchase this game and 360 at the same time.

Only if its not 500 bucks when its released. If thats the case I'll be passing. And its way better then the new nintendo thing.

Eh the new Nintendo thing(Revolution) wont be as good graphics wise but it should be a lot cheaper and its apposed to allow you to play all the old nintendo games and s*** which makes it a lot cooler.

speak for yourself, with 360 I got a better system for over $100 less, and a year early to boot. By the time PS3 even sees a shelf, 360 will have over 75 games. This system has turned friends back into games that havent touched anything since Mario Kart. PS3 has more than its work cut-out for them. As for MVP NCAA Baseball on 360, I wouldnt count on it, but I wouldnt dismiss it either, it seems like EA is making a strong push to upgrade their sports game through 360, a significant change from modeling their games and graphics based on the PS2 engine as theyve always done in the past.

How do you figure?

Do you own a PS1 and PS2?

Edited by WHarris1

I dont like how Xbox charges you to be on line. I also like the ps2 controller better.

I like sports games alot, but I always get this anti-climactic empty feeling when I win a world championship on any sport. This is mostly due to the end-of-game graphics at the end of sports games, which generally consist of pixelated balloons and confetti, with a neat techno beat and the credits running in the middle. I wish there were something I could do about that.

My only guess is it was just an anti-Microsoft flame. Considering we know a little more than jack about the PS3 and less about the Revolution, I would say right now 360 is the best console out there.

Could have to do with the issue reports that have been made on the 360. Brian wanted one but he knows a couple people that have them and have had issues plus he reads all those gaming magazines and must have read some articles about the issues that changed his mind.

for those that want to know which teams will be on the game.
