LOL, Callahans bunch has to worry about Wichita St and Creighton before they worry about the online onslaught. :)

Do they have Abe Martin Field, I wonder? With the party hill?

Without the MLB license, I really have no interest in this game. I guess I will just keep playing MVP 2005 with updated rosters. :(

I can't wait to take Northwestern to Omaha. This game sounds so sweet.

I will still play this game and think that it looks awesome, but the licensing thing does make me a little upset. I was looking forward to seeing what the World Champs looked like on my favorite baseball game.

What, you arent excited for some(unnamed) 3rd party to make their own MLB game?

me neither. But there will be a game this year somewhere, hopefully they dont mangle the good EA sports name

I just watched videos of this game. All it is is MVP 2005 with college teams, rosters, and ballparks. Everything else looks exactly the same as MVP 2005 -- the graphics, animations, and gameplay.

It doesn't look the same.I've seen the video's and screenshots and it's different.

The graphics and animations are the same. It looks like they just added some new batting stances.

well, it's the same engine, the same company, I wouldn't be expecting too many drastic changes.

They've changed some of the controls, for the better, I think.

And honestly, they could take the same exact MVP game, put in college teams, recruiting, and all that, and I'd still buy it.

I'm still buying it since i'm a sports gamer.

Game should be in some stores tomorrow.

Really looking forward to this one.

I'll have to check the EB on campus tomorrow

Really looking forward to this one.

awesome that it's coming out before classes are in full swing.

I hope my Gamestop has it tomorrow. :pray

I may have to go for MLB 2K6 instead just because it will have the MLB license. :(

If one of you guys finds it today, do tell, cause than I'll get off my ass and try and pick it up during my lunch break.

Reading the Operation Spots board, looks like your going to be hard pressed to find it today.

Whats the operation sports board? I know I've never found a place that releases the games earlier than the EA release. The few times I looked I was told if EA found out they released a day early, EA wouldn't allow them to sell the games.

I called my EB and they said thursday.

They also said it's probably going to be a popular title and to preorder it, which i'm going to do later on today. (maybe that's just because i'm in a college town though)

Operation Sports Board

It's where i go to get all of my sports videogame info (rosters, sliders, release dates)

Really a great board to lurk at.

I called 3 different GameStops (all north/northwest suburbs), 2 told me they expect to get it tomorrow morning and have it on the shelves in the afternoon. The other said Thursday.

Oh well. Just another day or so.

I just called my Gamestop and they said they'll have it on shelves Thursday.Oh well.It pissed me off a little though.

Can you preorder for a store online? I saw there would be a preorder release on Wed on the website or something like that.

yeah, you can preorder at any website really, ebgames, gamestop, amazon. Though it kinda defeats the purpose since shipping will take an extra day anyway.
