Better with them versus an AL team we'd have to face several times a year. I absolutely hate seeing him on the mound against us. He's a nut.. but an effecitive one.

Im really surprised that Boras let this one get away. Not his style.

If he likes Chicago enought and the Sox succeed and cubs falter could he gun to play for Ozzie.

Imagine if Ozzie could reel in all Venezulean pitching????

And Prior even moreso. We cannot hit him AT ALL.

Mark Prior (career vs. White Sox)

4 starts

3-0 record

25.0 IP

2.88 ERA

0.88 WHIP

.163 BAA

14 hits

21 K

8 BB

Here is my prediction on this... Z and the Cubs already have a basic idea in mind for a long term deal. They will announce a 4-5 year deal worth over $50-60 million at about 12 million per year before Z has his arbit hearing.

I don’t understand why anyone would want to sign a long-term deal with the Cubs. The team is not getting any better and the organization can’t put together a team that can be a threat come October.

He'll be looking for something very similar to the deal Garland got if he's smart. That only delays free agency a year.

Otherwise he'll want something like the Santana/Sheets got.

Unless Timo is on first base :P

If I did the math right, I think that is pretty much where it would put him, with an extra big year tacked on at the end for something like $14 million.

So this means he wants to join the White Sox, right?

I guess he has. Article on Cubs site today says the following:

Zambrano is represented by South Florida-based agents Scott Shapiro and Barry Praver.
