Thanks to the guys over at BP.

Good job Timo!

Baseball prospectus always has their stat of the day and he manages to get on there once a week for something... which of course is not good. Amuses me.

Poor Timo. He's gone and he's still soxtalk's whipping boy.

He sucked that badly.

He will be champion whipping boy until replaced. I doubt anyone ever comes close to Timo(though had the Sox signed Jose Macias, you would see the king in flesh and blood)

timo had some clutch hits and a good attitude, although I admit that I cringed when he came up to the plate and referred to him as T-schmo

Who didn't love to make fun of timo every once and a while?

I would say that if Borchard makes the team, he could fill the whipping boy role quite nicely.

At least if he hits .220 in 200 at bats or so...there's going to be a few more than 1 ball landing very very far from homeplate.

Somebody fill me in....what the hell does that mean?!?

Lead the league in game winning hits on days that started with the letter "S"....in months with 31 days that ended on Monday or Tuesday and had only seven at-bats in which he put a 2-0 pitch into play. :huh

What the hell's a VORP...is it like a VERP?

No I think he's KW's and Ozzie's Whipping Boy. :D

Anyone think Timo is going to go back to Japan to join Jose Macias?

He can go sulk over it with ben davis... they have a combined two million from last year in stolen money that may help them get over it.

Man, that was highway robbery. It's hard to believe that they both made a million a piece and on the other side of town, Jose Macias also made a million and Neifi Perez made $2.5 million. I think I'm going to adopt a Dominican kid to be my son and groom him to be a crappy middle infielder.

Value over replacement player. Basically a stat adjusted for league and park (but not position) that measures a player's worth relative to a "replacement player", which is basically just a AAA+ player. A pretty cool stat I think.
