Who's supposed to pitch the 9th?

Hey, just wondering...so what happened to Charlie Haeger? Did they give up on his knuckleball? I know his control was a problem. Anyone know what happened?

He was sent pack to the minor league camp a week or 2 ago.

He's started throwing what they call the At-em ball.

He wasn't getting shelled, but he was leaving a lot of pitches up in the zone.

His biggest challenge as a reliever is having a feel for his change-up coming out of the bullpen.

Ah..i see. Thanks dick. Hadn't seen his name for a while and didn't know what was up.

Let's go White Sox!!

Not all that well either. Having a tough time locating.

Isn't Benji Gil the guy that couldn't beat out Mike Caruso?

We in the top of the 9th now? Still 9-7?

Indeed.

You are correct

Let's go McCarthy! shut them down and let's go home!

Agreed. But this spring, from what I've seen, his biggest problem has been his control. I'm not too worried, being that his control has been one of his strong points. But he's a different pitcher if he's having trouble locating his pitches.

Game over...Sox win 9 - 7

Game over yet? Are we in trouble?

Game over. Sox winner...9-7.

The good: Thome looking good. Thornton pitched well in two innings of work.

The bad: McCarthy still looks a tad uncomfortable coming out of the pen. Hopefully he's just working out some of the kinks.

The eh: Nomo and Redding suck, but whatever.

Nice! McCarthy didn't blow it, very nice.

Hey what do you guys think if we ever used McCarthy as a closer? Just a thought that popped into my head.

So are some still worried about Mr. Thome?

McCarthy has the ability to go multiple innings out of the bullpen. He would be wasted as a closer.

If that ever became a consideration, we'd be in BIG trouble.
