Yea, but Pena is 2 years younger than Gload, and might put up some better numbers in the future. I'm not saying we should sign up, especially as money is an object, and trading away Borchard makes Gload's relative versatility a virtue.

 

Yea, I really can't believe the story of Choi, dude does nothing but put up good numbers for a cheap contract, and he keeps getting shown the door. Doesn't make much snese to me.

I am still not sold on Inge everyday. I think he is better suited to the UTL roll. 23 errors at 3B, so it's not concerned at defense, Infante had 13 less errors. Inge is a career .238, Infante is a career .246. I think allowing Inge to move around would help him, as he played every position two years ago.

Tiger fans love Bonderman too, he is a good one. Simple kid too, very easy to like.

With the Tigers staff, they need to score as much as possible. Inge has developed into a decent hitter since he moved from C. He's also one of the rangiest 3B in the game, which makes up for his errors.

 

I don't know how you can make up for a .250 OBP like Infante posted last year. I think he should consult Timo for that one.

I don't think Houston should be in that list (losing Clemens is a huge blow), nor should Minnesota. Since right now we are only talking about teams on paper, the Mets should be there, as should the Phillies.

 

But yes, the AL is much better than the NL.

You forgot Toronto who would also win the east or west in the nl imo.

Atlanta's bullpen sucks balls, too. They have a few too many raw position players. Putting them in the Top 10 is a stretch, actually.

I like Toronto but A.J. Burnett might be on the DL to start the season and their infield defense looks pretty terrible -- Glaus at 3B, Russ Adams at SS, and Aaron Hill at 2B.

All the nl teams. Atlanta would probably be the team though cause as you noted, they have serious bullpen issues and now no Leo. The NL is really awful this year.

Hudson, Smoltz, Sosa, Thomson (assuming not dealt), & Ramierez. They have a solid core, I'd take the Mets over them, but the Mets do that every year. Renteria could have a turn around, Giles, Jones, Jones, Larouche, Francouer, McCann was good in playoffs. They're the Braves too. Leo Mazzone is gone though, if they get bullpen and stay healthy, they'll be fine.

I am not comparing Inge to Infante. How is Inge better than Polanco at 3B? Range? Eh. Neither Inge or Infante are awesome at the plate. Where did Inge have his best year? As a UTL.
