fyi, 55 degrees is the prediction I heard from the news.

chicago wheatherrr :D

I have to work. we close at 6, so we should get out by 6:30, so i hope the 6:00-6:45 stuff is filler before the banner raising.

I am fully excited by this.

We're "tailgating" that day at my buddy's house. Starting at about 3:00 , cooking out, watching the DVDs in his garage bar. Warmer than actually being there.

can't wait to get their nice and early, for both days. does anyone know what time both ceremonies start?

That's the question I need an answer to as well. We're gonna start our pre game bash at like 2:00, but what time do we head to the park for the ceremony or will it just be game time.

i hope i get back to mizzou before the game starts. that would be so sad if i missed the game...

I was looking at the calendar for this day for weeks and I thank the lord I have every Sunday off of work. Me and my employees (who are sox fans) will see this ceremony (with a game which adds a bonus.)

I'm gonna be shaking like a leaf. Those that will actually be there are so damn lucky.

Man, do I hope Berman ain't calling this game. I just picked up the DVD set today and watched some of Game 3 against Boston. Forgot how obnoxious and terrible he was/is.

Keeping my fingers crossed that its Miller and Morgan. They aren't my favorites, but they beat the hell out of listening to Berman.

Bro, don't get me started on Berman. Some of the posters here know exactly how I feel about him. Another poster here who doesn't like him just makes my day happy. :)

"Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox, and congratulations to the Boston Red Sox as well." - Chris Berman at the end of game 3.

Ummm...Boston lost f***o. No reason to congratulate them on getting their asses swept.

Ugh. I can't believe I'm letting this get to me again.

Does anyone know if the gates will be opening at a special time? or just the usual hour and a half before game time.

Are you saying he wouldn't have congratulated us if we had been the ones that got swept?

You know, I wouldn't have made much of it if it weren't for the countless number of pro-Red Sox comments that preceded it.

Between the Red Sox love and all the football analogies, I was about to hang myself.

I agree, my friends all love him b/c they think he is awesome and don't understand why i don't like him. I guess that they won't ever understand eventhough i have explained it to them numerous times.

Usually for the big games they'll open 'em 2 hours early.
