Opening "Night" Caps

Featured Replies

Well, I can already chalk up spending at least $30.00 on Sunday. I think that is the most gorgeous hat Ive ever seen.

Are these only being worn on opening day?

Either way, as said in the other thread, I'm likely picking one up.

I think the Red Sox wore their's all season, but what do I know.

I think just for opening series.... and it should be that way, celebrate last year, move onto dominating the present.

Where else can you buy these?

Wearing them all year would just get old.

I'm sure Grandstand will have them, that is, if they don't already.

EDIT: Just called, they do indeed have them.

That WS logo is HUGE!

From Sox Website:

Order the authentic on-field cap for the White Sox 2006 Opening Day! This is the same cap that the Chicago White Sox will wear on the field during their opening series against the Indians to start the 2006 season and their defense of the World Champion crown.

You're probably the type that keeps the sticker on the cap.

Yeah, I have trouble pimpin' my hos when my bill gets bent.

Yeah, how else can I manage to get into the next Fiddy video without my hat stickers?

maybe if you buy the hat at Abercrombie and Fitch :huh

Not everyone can aspire to look good with the CC Sabathia look.

I could just as easily say the straight bills are for gangsters, thugs, and rappers.

Of all the things to have pinned as "fratboy" this is one that kinda surprises me. Especially since the cap in that picture is barely curved at all.

I could just as easily say the straight bills are for gangsters, thugs, and rappers.
I guess every black person on the street falls into one of those categories? Cause lord knows all the ones I see still rock flat caps.

G&T, you're right though. Moderately curved bills are neither bent enough to be fratty nor flat enough to be cool. They're just there. Ick.

If you think that bill is too curved then you should see my hat, it looks like an upsidedown "U".

Do you keep a can of dip in your back pocket too?

Fair enough, I guess.

do you always pigeonhole people based on their hat?

He keeps it in the same place you keep your crack pipe.

/let's end the stereotyping flamewar here.

Only Soxtalk could have a thread based on Opening Day hats turn into a stereotypical flame battle :P
