last year he gave up a ton of hits, but he also induced the most double plays becuase his sinker actually sank]

this year his sinker is flat and has become a flyball pitcher. not good for a sinkerballer

His horrible control is killing him as well

Silva had 9 friggin walks in 170 or so innings last year. He has 7 more than that this year(a whopping 16 walks in 100.1 IP)

More of a tidbit than actual reason.

Jason Michaels in 293 at bats: .266/.324/.396

Is the sample size still too small? :rolly:

That is why you don't play career bench players everyday.

Noticed Minnesota's latest minor league callup has contributed immediately. No surprise there.

So, where's our Pat Neshek?

So, where's our Pat Neshek?

Where's Minnesota's World Series trophy?

You think they would trade Neshek and Liriano for a World Series title?

Radke said last year that he was going to retire after this year. Hes had shoulder problems the last few year and is gutting it out now

I couldn't help but notice how Cleveland got its only run in their 1-0 victory over the Mariners. It was a solo homer by Choo, who was just traded to the Indians by the Mariners.

My buddy is a casual gambler on baseball, and I told him to bet on KC the last 2 nights because of great odds and Boston's play.....dude won 1,500 dollars.

Mota was DFA.

Man, that was a s***ty trade for both teams.

Pulling a 2005

Pulling a 2004 too...they were within a game and a half of Minnesota, and just choked when they actually played Minnesota

I WONDER WHAT THEY'LL DO THIS YEAR

Mark Teahen will miss the rest of the season after having shoulder surgery.

Ouch, too bad one of the Royals few great young players has went down, he was really quite exciting to watch.

This especially sucks because the Twins have 4 let with the Royals and the Tigers have 6.

Maybe the Royals will bring up 3B Alex Gordon to replace Teahen. He's done well in AA Wichita this year.

Wichita is in the Texas League championships this week, but they should be over before KC gets to the Det and Min series. Finally, I'll have a reason to root for the Royals! :)

The Royals GM has said repeatedly since Teahen's injury that he's not bringing up Gordon to the majors at all this season. He has been unequivocal on this point.

Twins have interest in Rockies Jason Jennings

http://www.startribune.com/509/story/814498.html

The Rockies picked up Jennings' $5.5 million option for 2007, and initial attempts to extend his deal have been unsuccessful. Colorado might move Jennings now before he leaves as a free agent after next season.

Colorado is believed to be looking for young starters and bullpen help. The Twins have a few young starting pitching prospects in righthanders Boof Bonser, Matt Garza and Scott Baker and lefthander Glen Perkins. Bonser is expected to be part of the starting rotation next season, while the other three will have to earn a job in spring training.

there has been some rumours of Jesse Crain and or Carlos Silva and or a young pitcher going
