I really don't care what Lidge looks like at the moment, I've seen that guy absolutely dominate a better NL in the past especially when he was in the setup role to Dotel and when he was in the 7th inning role to Wagner. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

It's easy to say now that Contreras re-signed.

Haven't been a fan of his even before his godawful postseason.

I agree if we werent able to resign him. Obviously now it would look pretty stupid.

BTW, that wasnt a smart ass remark like your a idiot for thinking that, I was just wondering what your current view was...

No, it's a very good question. I've seen Lidge pitch, and it's a total confidence issue with him. He seems scared of the bat.

Nice to see Vazquez hold on to the ball. I hope Garland was taking notes.

We got Ichiro out!

Javier should show Jon how to toss the come backer to Konerko :D

sox pwning, as usual

We retired Ichiro! *gasp*

Racking up most of those numbers against a terrible division IMO.

Crappy division should be evened out by the short porch in LF he has to pitch with.

Time to f*** up some rookie pitching.

The Cardinals won 105 games and the Cubs 89. It was the best division in the NL that year.

I think a 1.14 WHIP is a bit high for an elite closer. Thats like putting a man on every time you come out for the 9th. Hmmm.

Javy's 4:20 BB/K rate is pretty exciting.

What are your thoughts on Bobby Jenks?

Come on, give Jimmy something to crank! :(

I don't put Bobby Jenks anywhere near the elite closers at this point in his career. Not at all.

Mariano Rivera = 1.048 career whip

that's a baserunner an inning as well.
