an out occurs in that situation when either the ball beats him back to the bag or he is tagged out.  neither had happened.  with his speed he couldve at least forced a throw to third.  we all know stranger things have happened.  ask cub fans.

Ozuna was pretty much dead-to-rights. Calling for the squeeze was the mistake.

For the third time, would you like to tell us one more time?

He's off to a good start right there. He needs to keep it up, that slider was located very well.

Perhaps others should stop harping on Ozuna then.

Okay. It was a mistake. :D

"Good outing for Mark Buehrle."

he is dead to rights when he is out. look this is a very little thing but definitely something that ozzie will address to his team. he doesnt overlook even these little things. at least that is my take on how baseball should be played and the type of manager ozzie is.

He has absolutely no chance in that situation. You might as well hope that the defense drops the ball then. I didn't like the call, but shockingly, I understand why Ozzie did it. Iguchi's normally a very good bunter.

Not a good pitch there. 2 down.

Cliff does not look horrible.

No offense manager, but you're wrong here. The last thing a runner on 3rd can do in that situation is be tentative. If the squeeze is called, it's either going to work or it's an easy, easy out.

That's exactly why it was a "suicide" and not a "saftey" squeeze.

Being tentative only makes it worse. If he doesn't go right away, he's caught in a pickle. Or he is tagged out.

Can Hawk and DJ please, PLEASE stop talking about bologna and liverwurst?!

Got away with a hanger to Graffy, but we'll take the results.

Cliffys had his first good inning in a while.

No. He has a point. If Ozuna would have turned and sprinted back toward 3rd, the pitcher might have thrown the ball down the line. You have to make them make the play without just giving up on it.

It all starts with the bunt.

It's hard though to judge the ball off the bat. Ozuna is focusing just as much on the plate as he is to where the ball goes. By that time, he's so far down the line, he has no chance to get back. With all of his momentum heading towards home, by the time the pitcher catches it, Ozuna would still be 60 feet off of 3rd base.

All that is true. But still, if he would have turned and sprinted back toward 3rd, that would have forced a throw instead of just a tag. Throwing errors do happen from time to time.

There goes taz again!!!!

Another K and off to China he goes.

why doesnt someone tell juan to just wait an extra second, then swing.
