May 17, 200619 yr I'm sure this has been talked about before, but what's the word on him. Is he close to being able to come back? We need a guy like him in our bullpen I think.
May 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 17, 2006 -> 12:52 AM) not for a while will we see Hermy. If ever.
May 17, 200619 yr I think it's best if White Sox fans go with the mindset that we won't have Hermanson this year. It will be a major bonus if he is able to give us anything.
May 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) I'll take his as is over logan. Id take drunk rick sutcliffe over boone.

May 17, 200619 yr George Clooney....George Clooney?? "Yeah, he's up there with the Congress, he's trying to get everybody to go over there and solve that thing.'' Edited May 17, 200619 yr by SSH2005
May 17, 200619 yr Author I figured he'd be gone for a while, I just didn't know if there were any updates on him. Edited May 17, 200619 yr by WilliamTell
May 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 17, 2006 -> 02:49 AM) I figured he'd be gone for a while, I just didn't know if there were any updates on him. From Scott Reifert on Monday: Hermanson Update Many of you have asked about the health of Dustin Hermanson. He has started a throwing program in Tucson and will continue to increase his schedule as his endurance and pain threshold allow. The next step after that would be for Dustin to go on a rehab stint to one of our minor league affiliates, although that remains to be decided in the future. Edited May 17, 200619 yr by Felix
May 17, 200619 yr I find it funny that he's now on a throwing program, yet the Sox rarely mention him at all. With the way the bullpen is going I would expect the organization to make a point of it to the fans. I doubt they are optimistic about the possibility of him returning. I guess everyone just has to wait and see.

May 17, 200619 yr QUOTE(Beltin @ May 17, 2006 -> 10:53 AM) Like announcing all of his successful simulated starts and 20 throw long toss sessions? Heh, yeah that's kinda what I was thinking actually.
May 18, 200619 yr He is on the payroll and therefore you can be sure they will push it as far as it can go, hopefully to the cell, but his progress might break down before then.
May 20, 200619 yr Whatever Dustin Hermanson's future is, I'm still grateful for his 2005 contribution to the World Champion White Sox. Dustin Hermanson is a champion.
