The leaders of corpseball were Ordonez and Lee.

Can't happen if you have the best record in the league.

Corpseball was a term used in the Jerry Manuel era.

Oh, but this is Manuel-esque baseball of late. And you can go into slumps which include playing Corpseball.

Incidently, the comment is sort of tongue in cheek.

and big frank for 1/3 of the year

Alright, time to get some runs off of this sorry sack of s***.

I don't care about his recent starts, his era still looks pathetic.

Time to add some damage to it.

not really, we're putting up runs.

Can anyone give me a quick update? Just got back and missed the first 3 innings. How's Big J looking???

Like scoring 7 runs yesterday, oh yeah that's corpseball alright.

So do Freddy Garcia's and Jon Garland's.

Garland's throwing more changeups to righties, which is something he hadn't been doing.

sox: 3 hits through 3, baserunning cost us.

jon's looked solid, only mistake was giving up a bomb to norton, yes, that norton

In either era, the question was not putting up runs so much as finding a way to beat ourselves. ie running ourselves out of innings, s***ty defense.

Iguchi chases ball 4

Valentin was the king of corseball and yes this is corpseball, we would score alot of runs that made no difference in the end result.

Off topic fantasy question, I need a reliever, should I deal Zito or Liriano for Trevor Hoffman?

Wow, 4.56 is bad? What world are you living in? Get real.

If we don't average 2.3 runs per inning, with a variance of plus or minus .7 runs, it's corpseball.

no, corpseball was pretty much not putting up any runs and not trying the things we're doing now (hit and run, stealing, etc)

deal zito or pick up dan wheeler.

that ball was killed

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 17, 2006 -> 07:59 PM)
Liriano won't be a reliever any more after his next start.

No kidding, I am asking should I give either of those guys up for Hoffman or not?

Alternative Corpseball Definition
