Frank Thomas first AB

Well, I couldn't be happier with the reception Frank got. I'm not too happy with the result of his at bat.

Way to get em, Big Hurt.

Yes, they did. It was all cheers from the time he came to the on-deck circle until he went back into the dugout. And it was just for him too, because they were booing hardcore on the next home run.

However, I'm extremely happy that we've got a class group of fans, and Frank received the ovation he deserved. And hopefully all of this will bring some closure to everything.

:cheers

Thomas never said anything bad about Sox fans, so why should the fans feel any ill will toward him.

Im glad that he got the ovation and glad that he hit the home run. Loyalty is earned, and Thomas no matter what he said, always played on the field. Thomas can still be a good player, a lot of his problems have been in his head. Once he stopped getting the calls he just seemed to worry more about that then focusing on himself. Still my favorite player and probably always will be.

Way to go Big Frank. Glad it was cheers all around, even after the homer.

That changed when he came up to bat for the second time...

The first at bat was for the last 15 years.

The 2nd at bat...he's an A now.

Indeed, silence and boo's ...

Fine by me. He got the class welcome back to Chicago in his first AB, and that's what people will remember. I'm just glad this is somewhat over now.

Love Frank, and was glad he got the great ovation. But enough with the cheering after homers (heard a lot after that second). You don't cheer when your pitcher is getting bombed, I don't care who is hitting the homers.

And there's his 2nd home run of the night.

Did anyone have Frank Thomas as their Pick to Click?

Heh. I kept thinking someone would do it in jest tonight, but no one did it.

Frank's really sending a message to kenny eh??? HA well i am really glad he got the standing o shows were not classless like cleveland fans.....

Great News for Frank!

Considering we were overmatched tonight with Garland vs. Zito, this can be the one game that he does well during the series.

Frank Focking Thomas

:notworthy

The White Sox are simply making it easier for him to get into the HOF by helping him get to his 500th HR

It would be nice if he hit that 500th HR at the Cell too

um, no.

He got a standing ovation after the HR, you obviously were not watching.

I honestly do not care that he went deep twice tonight, I didn't expect to win this game so watching him hit 2 HRs was enjoyable for me.

Nice cleats... :puke

Frank goes deep twice, and Sox win. You can't ask for a better game then that.

Perfect game.

Its funny, as Frank was batting, I said to myself "I wouldn't be mad at all if he hit a bomb right here." Not even 5 seconds later...boom. Err, poof.

EXACTLY......Hell of a game

What did Hawk say when Thomas hit the homer?

I was joking that he probably would break out the classic homerun call, and then realize what was going on. :P
